  3. This is the 3rd post of yours I have ssen like this. PLEASE read the forum rules ESPECIALLY #11 11. Do not use CAPITALIZATIONS in the topic title or when participating in threads because they will not attract attention - instead it will annoy many of MSFN's members. Using unnecessary font formatting (i.e., bold font, increased font sizes, colored fonts, etc.) on the full body of posts is also discouraged.
  4. Added ukranian and updated russian. They are in the 8.5 download now.

  10. AFAIK Yes.
  11. You can also edit the registry to disable Windows Update on a per user basis: 1.Start regedit.exe on the machine where you want to disable Windows Update. 2.Go to HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Policies\Explorer. 3.From the Edit menu, select New, DWORD value. 4.Enter a name of NoWindowsUpdate, and press Enter. 5.Double-click NoWindowsUpdate, and set it to 1. 6.Close regedit. Once you do this Export the key as a reg file and add it to your disk. Someone else can suggest a way to lock permissions on that key (I know it can be done just not how) Official MS Way! Important This section, method, or task contains steps that tell you how to modify the registry. However, serious problems might occur if you modify the registry incorrectly. Therefore, make sure that you follow these steps carefully. For added protection, back up the registry before you modify it. Then, you can restore the registry if a problem occurs. For more information about how to back up and restore the registry, click the following article number to view the article in the Microsoft Knowledge Base: 322756 (http://support.microsoft.com/kb/322756/ ) How to back up and restore the registry in Windows To turn off the Windows Update feature, follow these steps: 1.Click Start, click Run, type regedit in the Open box, and then click OK. 2.Locate the following registry subkey: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\Image File Execution Options 3.Right-click Image File Execution Options, point to New, and then click Key. 4.Type wupdmgr.exe to name the new subkey. 5.Right-click wupdmgr.exe, point to New, and then click String Value. 6.Type Debugger to name the new string value. 7.Double-click Debugger, type ntsd -- in the Value date box, and then click OK. 8.Quit Registry Editor. After you follow these steps, you cannot click Windows Update in the Start menu or use the wupdmgr command to start Windows Update. However, you can still update Windows by visiting the following Microsoft Web site: http://update.microsoft.com/
  12. Do not use ms essentials or windows defender. (Those are the 2 only MS progs I am aware of that will auto-enable windows update.) Block MS update with your hosts file? Edit: These should cover it •*.windowsupdate.com •*.update.microsoft.com
  13. MS made Win7 so it auto-defrags every wed @ 1am... You do use it you just didn't realize...
  14. Rather simple really: If you don't want your custom files being replaced don't update. Seriously think about it IF you keep your old versions of the core files you have modded the you aren't gaining ANY benefit from updating.
  15. Actually just that - A folding system - Like an accordian
  16. I find it funny they aren't going to fix it.
  17. Coffefiend = Thanks for schooling me. The reason why I said what I said was because I was a HUGE intel only guy for a really long time. Then last year I got aghold of $500 ish bucks and built a AMD system: CPU = 1100t Black Ed Ram = 16 gigs ddr3 1333 Vid = AMD Radeon HD 6450 Mobo = ASUS M4N75TD Its actually the Fastest system I have ever owned. Except for the video card (I have a older geforce in my sons pc thats quit abit better) I am EXTREMLY happy with it.
  18. I have read that MS's eula for win8 has clauses in it that prevent just that kind of lawsuit. From what I understood it's "If you use it and buy it, you get what you asked for" kind of thing.
  19. 8 cores is $20 buck more than 6 cores right now. it does use @ 70 watts more but it is twice the cpu too.
  20. Can I ask why you are sticking with intel? I can easily build twice the system with AMD. I also think that vid card is pretty pricey. I would go with something like this: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16819103961 8-core CPU $170 http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813157305 SATA 6 & USB 3 MOBO $67 http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=9SIA0ST08P6223 32 gigs 1333 ddr3 ram $199 http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814150599 XFX 1gig ddr5 vid card $150 $586 so far with lots of room for the rest. (Plus I went pretty high on the ram)
  21. They are for the tooltip transitions. This is the way(s) the tooltips behave when they popup. Fade in, fade out, swirl and things like that.
