Unattended windows xp installation without 'Press any key..'
Kelsenellenelvian replied to jduk's topic in nLite
Let me think: They (Your "Family") will somehow know in their limited PC knowledge that a tower without monitor or keyboard is no longer working? I have seen some high quality Swiss cheese that has less holes in it. Don't bullsh*t us it is not our first rodeo. Explain to us what the actual purpose of a freshly installed pc without monitor or keyboard? (Especially to your dummy family and friends) -
The fix is already in SP3!

Some issues you need to address: You are running nLite in Win7 this has been know to cause many unpredictable problems. (Typically with sp integration but there are others that can be related to this) Are you running nLite as a admin? Are you running a AV\malware? Is your disk (Source) genuine and unmodified?

get the installer from dell (or whoever) and reinstall it. THEN uninstall it. http://download.cnet.com/Synaptics-Touchpad-driver-7-2-5-0-zip/3000-2108_4-149877.html

I see this quite often the installer simply failed to cleanup after itself for any number of reasons.

Reinstall\uninstall?

Eventually you are going to have to phone MS and re-activate no matter what you do...

Sooooo.. What your saying, in essence here, is that your just wasting everyone's time here since you have 3 levels of redundancy and apparently don't care about serials and activation? If your not worried about the serial then you are wasting yours and everyone's time in this thread....

That would have to be decided on a case by case basis. -
WPI v8.6.4 "Supporter" release
Kelsenellenelvian posted a topic in Windows Post-Install Wizard (WPI)
Current Users! The 5 "core" WPI files need to be moved to the new dir. WPI will no longer recognize your files in the wpiscripts dir. To easily do this just run the cmd file "Upgrade", In your old WPI folder, then copy the created UserFiles folder to the new WPI folder. Steps to update your WPI folder: Download and extract the new WPI archive to a different location. Run the upgrade.cmd file in the old WPI folder. Copy the newly created UserFiles folder from old to new. Copy your Audio folder from old to new. Copy your Install folder from old to new. Copy Themes folder from old to new. Copy all of your Logos\Graphics files the new location. Rename or move your old folder in case something goes wrong. Move the new WPI folder to where you want it. Test it! MAJOR new step! Update your run WPI methods as WPI\WPI.hta no longer exists! You now need to use WPI\WPI.exe! Known Bugs\Issues! You cannot minimize the installer window. You cannot click 'n drag to highlight items. Enabling this exposes a bug that causes instabilities. The rewind button DOES NOT work on the media player... (Probably never has) Nero 7 messes with the IE scripting engine and WPI will not work if Nero 7 has been installed or is currently installed. HOWEVER, This link to Nero Clean tool --> HERE has been reported to fix this issue. So if you wish to use WPI and have had Nero7 installed you will want to clean your system first. Midi files should NOT be used if you are copying the audio to harddrive! (use MP3 Files!) Change log! v8.6.4 Updates - Released Jan 14th, 2013 ==================================================== *** Officially added myselfidem to the developers. This isn't even a half step. Lets try one more time: Tell us EXACTLY which gina file you begun with including file version # Which app you are using to write the gina on and compile it. Which basic mods have you made to the original gina or did you start from scratch? Which OS you are making it on. Which OS you want to use it on. WITHOUT ALL of the above I will not help you and probably no-one else will. Also the most important step here!!! WHAT IS A "gina" Do you mean a msgina.dll? Can you see where you are failing here?
-
That tells nothing of the coding, methods and programs you used No one will help you without basics. EXACT METHODS! NOT HALF STEPS! I will not help you

it seems Microsoft knew that fingerprints would be annoying on touchscreen, so Microsoft made the cleaning guide. Unlike Apple that hinted that regular cleaning of touchscren would diminish the screen quality, Microsoft however, suggests that users should cleans the touchscreen frequently. WAIT! Hold the phone! A guide on how to clean your touch device? P)*(&$#()*&@_*(&$_)@& Where is the f***ing guide (I know they decided not to release one) on win 8?
