It simply wont work. Look inside the windows folder for a Folder named I386 THAT is the folder you trully need! Well that and a coupla win51 files but you can make those yourself. If you find a i386 folder then please post its size and a screenshot of the folders in it. <-- this show a folder size of 12 gigs lol you don't happen to have a blueray dvd burner do ya? You'd need one.
Get a boot cd from your harddrives vendor and test your drive!!! I am willing to bet your drive has become a nice silver-colered paper weight. (It's dead Jim)
Don't forget if your really interested in performmance to use a 150 gig 10,000 rpm raptor as your boot drive! But yeah I suppose in the 1tb range samsung is the best right now.
Winupdateslist by nirsoft will tell you all which systems updates where installed even if they have been integrated. ALso unless you selected for nlite to delete .cat files you can look in the i386\svcpack\ dir. The internal cat files in there are from the installed\integrated hotfixes.
By not using a XP SP2 source. Messily though you could just add a "dummy" plugin.ocx file (Rname a empty txt file to that) and place it in your I386 dir. NOTE I cannot guarantee that will work! But it really should.
OK I am going to assume that you have the floppy with the SATA srivers on it right? What no>? OK look into bios and see if there is a setting for setting SATA to IDE emulation mode. Bingo your done. If you do have the disk goto the Drivers section of this foum and get the raid slipstreamer it will do it up right for you...
Also go search around in the applications section there are literally over a dozen threads with this in it. it works on all hotfixes that do system restore as far as I know...
