My guess is one of the fan bearing are going out or a wire is laying up against the fan when you close the tower up. -

Kelsenellenelvian replied to dj-jeff's topic in Windows Post-Install Wizard (WPI)
case '{DELDIR}': cmd=("CMD /C " + cmd.replace(/{DELDIR}/gi,'rd /S /Q')); fsoCmd=true; break; I see where you might have the error the updater and code might bew wrong as the deldir is still defined in the installer.js. I will tell mritter. -

system unable to start after the vista logo
Kelsenellenelvian replied to lansing's topic in Windows Vista
By you ignoring the GLARING fact that something was seriously wrong (The first capacitor "leaking") You have now most likely fried yet another part of your components or you power supply is going bad. You should never, ever use a part that has partially blown. Are there any MAJOR differences in the card types? i.e. one was nVidia and the new one is ATI? If you have a secondary PC I would grab an old XP or 2003 disk and make a "Ultimate boot cd for windows" http://www.ubcd4win.com/ and then recover what data you need and try to start all over with a fresh installation. Pray that that works. -
What the heck? The post above mine disappeared.

No need to update the instructions or requirments. They are the same. Try a different server and ALWAYS check your MD5Hash before reporting an "Issue" MD5 - 3C29656A99295E819FA2FE44F814AE42 <-- v1.4.9.1

WPI 7.2.0
Kelsenellenelvian replied to Kelsenellenelvian's topic in Windows Post-Install Wizard (WPI)
Minor set of updates released... Still haven't fixed the after desktop loads issue. -

I just had 2 seccesfull runs with full office, all fixes and sharepoint designer. This was previously giving install errors. As for the timeing we need to wait for mritter to help on that one.
-
OK I just started a fresh "Virgin" XP w\sp3 install and I have RunWPI_Zune as my WPI starter file. I will select 2 or more office products and post the results here... Test #1 I can confirm the desktop is loading during the wpi process... Office and the office install process was FUBAR!!! <-- http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/FUBAR I got the installer crashing in the middle of the process and then a "Only 1 instance of setup may be run at a time" ON to test 2 now...
-
mritter got the whole "ie debugger" fix built in now. (Which would make all of this redundant ) As for issue #2: IF and I say IF I am getting you right the ordering only works if you have the proper options set and then the ones with numbers install FIRST and the rest install alphabetically afther that... Deselect "Install by Category" for install by number to work..

Take the ram out and take a picture or scan of BOTH sides and paste them here for us... -
No need to buy a program Google isorecorder, burn WAIK to a DVD. Then install WAIK. After that manually copy the wingapi.dll and inf files to that x86 folder in the vLite folder. Or do this: Removed
