Is there a list anywhere that tells you what you can set each service too if its not needed? I saw one for vista how about Xp?

What about the Microsoft Windows Operating System thing?

After downloading the lovely AIM Messenger I kept getting this pop up for Exec.exe to open. It says its a virus but I say its from AIM because I uninstalled it now and I dont get a pop up for it. anyone know whats going on?

When you say Vistas firewall do you mean the windows firewall on here? Comodo any good? I could ditch avast for that.

Well I can't use outpost like I did on Xp. For now I use Avast!. I also could use Kaspersky for anti. Is avast ok to use or is there something better?

I was just wondering what resolution the screen should be? I play online games and everything is small. So I made it bigger. Is there anyway to make a batch file or something so I can just double click and it will change the screen resolution to whatever i set it to example 800x600 to play the game then click another to return back? Really a good opinion on a good screen resolution for a 15.4" screen would be nice. EDIT: Right now I got it set to 1280 by 800 and I seem to like it.

I just got Vista Ultimate what are some good firewalls I could try to get? Would the XP ones work with vista?

I had the blurry once on my Xp. Try resetting all settings and hitting the auto adjust buttons on the monitor. Try all the buttons out. Fixed mine.

Probably didn't see it because laptop wasn't on it at the time... Just can only see who's on?

I'm going to reinstall Microsoft Word and see what happens. EDIT: Reinstalled, didn't get 7 updates got 3 and all worked.

It was not an NLite install.
