Yeah I mean like that. It depends on your video card if you can span it or not I would think. How old is the laptop, make, model? Once they're installed you can goto your display properties and click on the monitor #2 and check extend my desktop to this monitor to span it.

I'd also recommend Linksys... as far as the VoIP, I'm not sure. But I'd go with the Linksys WRT54G. Its a good product with good range and a 4-port switch.

Can you use a VGA splitter? Does your laptop video card have enough memory to support 2 external monitors?

Is your local admin logon name a part of the domain admins group? And/or does the username have access to the machines on local machine poilicies or do your GPOs flow down and override local policies?

Start > Run > type control userpasswords2
Turn off the Users must enter a user name and password to use this computer option, and click Ok
Another option isPowerToys and then TweakUI within PowerToys. Very good program with a lot of tweaks for windows.

As far as the fans, the only fan that came with the case was the big one thats mounted in the back. There's a 'mount' for a fan to cool the hard drives, but no fan... was it supposed to come with?? Also, theres no fan for the 'cpu vent' if ya know what I mean, I forget what its called, I wasn't expecting one though. As far as the keyboard, mouse and speakers... I already have a logitech set... wireless kb and mouse that work great and a nice Altec sound system, so thats covered. I'm expecting the Mobo here tomorrow or Sat. hopefully, possible monday Thanks for the suggestions on mounting the CPU, and yes I'm gonna wait on it untill I can get the cash, I decided on the 3.4 2M L2, Ht, 64-bit... around $400 anywhere I can find, if you know somewhere cheaper PLEASE let me know.

I'd check your GPOs in Active Directory... and if all possible use the domain admin user or a user in domin admins group.

I'm not sure Arvetus, I've never came across that. The only thing I could suggest is to revert to a previous backup if you have one and possibly try a third-party add/remove program to use inplace of the windows util. If thats the only thing that's being affected, if it were me, I wouldn't reload windows.. just go for the 3rd-party app, although I'm not sure about add/remove windows components...

I take it you're not doing any Visual programming and this isn't occuring due to something you've created? Check here and I don't know if this one will be of any help or not. It suggests a service pack... but I'm guessing you've already got it. Have you ran spyware/virus scans? I'd research the error and the files involved on good 'ol google.

Another possible option.. safe mode? As long as the file isn't loaded you should be good to go.

Could it be that you're to far away from the router and its stepping down the speed to maintain the connection? Static IP or DHCP? Could it be your ISP's DNS servers? Tried backup DNS server?

Sorry if this is posted somewhere else, I've searched but couldn't find this exact topic. Just curious as to what everyone's opinion on the best benchamrking app is. I've got 3DMark05 and SiSoft Sandra 2005 SR2a.... any others that are really good? TIA.

Why's that? Because every device is different in its power consumtion? Seems to me it may not be to the EXACT wattage but would give you a good idea whether u have anough juice or not...

I thought he said he was done using the built-in laptop screen and just wanted to use the two 19s... maybe he was talking about another external monitor that was smaller than the 19s.. hmmm
