  1. As far as I know, 2 operating systems have to be on the same harddisk. (best way is the first on a primary partition and the second on an extended partition) If you would install it on another HDD you can never boot from that operating system, unless you change your boot priority in your bios. If those operating systems are on the same HDD you can choose which you want to start when you start up your computer. I have XP and Vista also installed on the same HDD. This is just the way it works. Grtz
  2. Thanks for the updated version CF. And for the 'password fix'. I Appreciates that!
  3. @ OvErDoSeNL The file is 'syssetup.dll' in i386. After expanding the file you can change the picture, icons and text if you want. Grtz
  4. I would like the switch for the password, because I never use passwords on unattended installs. Maybe you can set the passwordfield so that the '*' are readable and you can check if it's correct. (if you think this is a good idea?) Anyway I'll wait for a future release with the language files. Thanks for the fast reply, CF !
  5. Hi, I just discovered this wonderfull tool for usercreation. I've searched the 10 pages of this topic but didn't find out how to use 'InterfaceFR.ini' to see the program in French. Also I don't want to fill in a password, so I set CheckValues=0 and there's always a popup that says 'fill in all the fields'. Why is this ? Someone could help me please ? THX
  6. Look for the files in I386 called 'nlite.in_' (you first have to expand the file) and also the file winnt.sif (open with notepad)
  7. Taskkill.exe is indeed in system32. Although in WIN XP PRO. Maybe you have the home edition and there it's called tskill.exe
  8. Take care of your health !!! All the best
  9. Well glad for you it works now, it took me some time to figure it out why WPI 5.1 to 5.3 didn't work on my machine. Simply because of that file I was missing. Accordingly to line 120 in generate.js that file is indeed needed. This wasn't so in older versions of WPI (before 5.1). Greetz
  10. Hi wixfigura, I had exactly the same error since wpi 5.1. Make sure you have the file '$winnt$.inf' in your system32 folder in windows. That was the problem I had because after an unattended install of windows i always deleted some files automatically included that file. It also didn't work with a standalone cd or dvd of WPI. When I putted back that '$winnt$.inf' file everything worked normal. Maybe this could help you?
  11. What you can do is set : 'InstallByCategory=false' in useroptions and give all the applications an exact installnumber, so that Messenger Plus comes after Messenger Live. This works fine for me !
  12. That would be a great option ! Thx for the reply Kel..
  13. Hi all there, I'am from Belgium and I use WPI for a long time already. Version 5 has very nice upgrades , so congrats to Kelland & mRitter. One thing I noticed is that if I set the timer to 5 minutes, the progressbar is already gone when it just passes 2 minutes. Is there a way to fix this ? Or which lines in which files do I have to delete if I don't want to show the progressbar of the timer ? I already did some tests but I couldn't manage it. for the writers of WPI !!! This was actually meant for the 'Bug Reports' Topic Sorry
  14. Problem solved, THX anyway Instead of unpacking the files in folder C:\Windows\Temp I choose another temp folder because there were already other mp3 files in that temp-windows folder. It seems if there are more then one mp3 or video files in the folder where MPUI.exe and all the other files are, mplayer will play nothing automatically. Maybe this can be solved in one or another way? I'll search further!
  15. hi, Nice stuff about mplayer, the only thing it doesn't do with me is to play the file (an mp3) automatically if I open the sfx file and then open MPUI.exe it does play the mp3 file What goes wrong? thx
