  1. If you booted with cd-rom support I would try E:\ if C:\ is your only hard drive since the one after that is a ramdisk ( D:\ ) so when you booted up in dos with cd-rom support, type this: E:\ (it'll switch to that) dir (it'll show you the contents of the cd, just to be sure) setup.exe (windows setup should start) Hope this helps..
  2. Gettin tired of my blue one now though its pretty new, ima work on a new one when I'm bored...

  5. i had this problem with EasyRecovery once before. i finally figured it out. it didnt like my Highpoint R.A.I.D. it worked fine when i had my HD on my boards IDE, and also works with my Maxtor IDE card. Yeah, must have been my RAID controller, the other comp is also running a Maxtor PCI controller and it was working fine on there..
  6. Got my hands on EasyRecovery, it looked pretty good, but it kept on closing when I tried to use it, proably due to damaged xp installation im running atm.. I recovered most of my important stuff using Restorer2002, it just doesn't like my 40gig HD so I went to the 6GB partition of my 80GB and gotten most of my old stuff where I installed my XP on 6 times today.. lol.. Hope I'll be don installing all my apps and games by mid-night... Thanks for the help...

Does anyone know of any good restoration program that'll let me view the files I want to restore? I'm using Restorer 2000 Pro at the moment and I don't like it, I can't see what to restore, and when I try to restore everything it doesn't do it... Please help.. Thanx...

  14. I would go with Crispy's idea or I would hook it up to any other machine you have that runs fine and just copy it there...
  15. hmm, must be looking forward to gettin all the money together for this bike:
  16. Did you follow DaveH's advice by any change?
  17. I never said I knew allot, atleast I tried to help besides just saying something about nvidia cards.. I didn't even know you were trying to fix it for him since your post didnt have anything to do with his problem besides that your post was actually about a video card..
  18. Read the 1st post, he doesn't need any more frames, theres jargon fillin up the screen so what's that have to do with it?
  19. I'm not sure, but I would say it's something with your vid-card, maybve it overheats or are you maybe overclocking it? when I oc' my Radeon, and its running to high mhz on the memory, it plays just like yours, after about 15-30mins, my game fill up with all kinds of pointy jargon and I can barely see the game, maybe you overclocked it somehow not on purpose... Hope this helps any...
  20. I'm not using the actual RAID futures (stripe/backup), just the ports too hook up my hd's...
  21. I concur with Experties on the diminished speed on your faster drives.Actually all three will run at the slowest HD transfer rate. The add on card which will allow you to run all 3 may be the way to go TH.If you connect a cdrom off of any ribbon cable it will further decrease your performance. madmax, 3AM atm.. zipp, since I have the RAID enabled and have each device on a cable nothing is slowing anything down. Correct? Only the ATA33 HD and the CD-Rom are on the same cable...
  22. This is my 2nd raid board, I buy raid b/c I have 3 hard drives and one cd rom, and I want all my drives to run at full speed and I still want to be able to add more w/ buying them crappy cards.. These are my HD's: Maxtor 80GB 7200RMP ATA133 Maxtor 40GB 7200RPM ATA66 Fujutsi (some old pos) 15GB ????RPM ATA33
  23. Just got it up and running, sure is a fast and nice system, I really notice the upgrade big time, only thing I didnt like on the mobo was that the ram end of one side almost touches the vid card, very very lil room between it, might be the big vid card, but I blame Abit coz my other Abit mobo didnt have this.. This only means that you have to take your vid card out to remove your 1st bank of ram since theres too little room for the white switch to open up.. Other then that it really is an awesome board with nice features including the sound, usb ports, and LAN connection..
  24. The Ram you have is lil faster, looks exactly the same, I seen on the Corsair website that mine will run at 434mhz stable too (overclocked).. I'll see, the ram you have is lil faster yes, Corsair is the fastest and best quality ram you can currently get..
