  9. Hey guys! I wanna tell you about what i've found. Acronis give us a chance to decrease the price for the backup software to as low as $30 . All we have to do is to register. one registration=one cent out Let's do it as much as it possible!
  10. And few words more about Acronis. Today i was on their site, checking for smth new...and i found christmas discounts, it was not so easy but interesting. To see this offers you should put the cursor on snowflake, but it is not on each snowflake. You will need to find the right one))) very funny idea. I've found 5% and 10% discounts
  11. However, if you clear your cookies/cache and then go directly to the link in the thread, it pops up the $9.99 price.
  12. It is a safe site!
  13. Just a great offer: True Image is a really high-quality software and the price is just nothing! I would definitely take that - if I didn't have one alreadyJ If you don’t have it, you should, I’ve never seen an offer like this from them before Original url: http://www.acronis.net/ati4free
  14. not sure,but check this: http://www.itc.virginia.edu/achs/documents/ACHS-203.pdf
  15. Use Acronis True Image. It's very good and reliable product. How to recover the system? 1)you can back up your files to other CD or DVD and restore the system from them OR 2)you can create Acronis Secure Zone for storing backups on the computer ,from where you will restore your system then.
  16. I've found one.Absolutely free=) try it. http://www.snapfiles.com/download/dldupfilefinder.html
  17. I can recommend you Acronis Disk Director Suite 10.0. With this suite you can defrag your disks, reorganize the hard disk drive structure, and optimize disk space usage. The suite includes Acronis Partition Expert product which allows you to automatically or manually merge, split, resize, copy, and move partitions without losing data. Disk Director is not free but I'm quite pleased with this software and I'm sure you won't be disappointed with it too.
  18. I'm only can reccomend you to try search it on http://www.wincustomize.com/
  19. tarzan007, I think you can evenly install XP pro after backuping your data.
  20. You said something about the need of incremental backups, someone has sugested Acronis True Image. The new v9 allows to perform incremental backups along with full and differential backups, also individual files and folders can be backuped (you mentioned something about it) so i think it's just what you need - give it a try. Good Luck!
  21. I use Acronis Privacy Expert http://www.acronis.com/homecomputing/products/privacyexpert/ It not only protects my system from malware (realtime protection) but also performs usefull operations like cleans all my internet activity from the PC and makes sure that deleted data cannot be unerased. Good stuff i tell you and all in one package!
  22. >anyway, we rebooted the computer, and at startup, we were asked to choose >between two operating systems. either: > >a)Windows XP Home Edition >or >b)Windows XP Home Edition > >whats up with that!!? > >if you choose the first one, it takes you to a fresh version of windows XP. good. > >the second one will lead you to a black screen that says it cannot find...lots of> >files. choose something else. > >is there anyway to get rid of that? You should correct your boot.ini file. Click right button on "My computer" -> properties -> advanced -> Startup and recovery settings -> "Edit". Post here the content of this file.

  24. Hi there! Hmm.....Really annoying stuff, it just prove my distrust to Symantec products. I always use Acronis, and I've never even heard about such problems with it's software. As for create another partition I exactly know, that Disk Director supports almost all OSs (including 2000server). I use it, so I must say it's very reliable and foolproof software. For backup you may use True Image, I've read a lot abot this program it works just wonderfull- very fast and dependable. It also has free trial server edition. According to my experience I suggest you to try it.
