what plug-ins do you have installed into your msn? i know i had some small problems with msn plus with a specific plug in that made links open up in the default browser

i have a compaq (if you havent figured that out, then read the titles) and they give you a restoer cd, to return your computer to its original state from when you bought it. now, what i want to do it make that completely unattended, and install extra programs.
i would install it directly from a cd, but using the retore cd installs 3 cds of extra applications (some of which i use, some of which i dont) that would come in handy. now, i know that it copys everything onto the computer when you put the cds, and then when you restart it does all teh installing and brings you to the windows welcome screen. if i were to use an unattended windows xp cd, would it fill everything else out, or completely crash my computer?
restore cd works like this:
insert os disk
copy
insert supplementary coftware disks
copy (there are 3)
please wait as windows reboots (or something like that)
any ideas would help
edit: i know what i'll do, just use the unattended cd as the os, and make a seperate cd with all the programs installed silently

i want to have 2 different instalations of msn on my computer. the reason being that i want one to have an ipod skin for me, and the regular msn for the other ppl using the computer. if anyone knows how i can do this, it will help hehe.

come one, u should partition, everyones doing it
its easyer to recover your system in case of an error. i have all my music and stuff on one partition, and on the other my programs and windows. i should put windows on its own seperate partiton for when i have to do a reformat, but im just to lazy.

well.. this is kinda like the quebec referendums. the french got pulled into the country of canada back in the 17th century, against their will, and now they want to seperate and become their own state. if you pull a country into this alliance without the populations consent, your really going to get screwed over in the long run. keep everything how it is now, and you wont have any problems. try to change everything, and be disliked, you'll end up like george bush, hated by half the world.

internet explorer dns error
in Windows 9x/ME

my internet explorer used to run of my windows 95 machine, then i did a spybot s&d and ad-aware. since then i can not get onto the internet. the notwork work perfectly, i can ping all the ips, and i can ping outside ips with success. i can not ping a dns address: google.ca, cannot resolve ip. i can not brouse the internet using ips. does anyone know what i did to mess up the computer and how to reverse it?
