  1. I have 2 computers. one of them is sitting at home, the other one is at the office. i have outlook 2002 running on both of them. only one of them is running at the time. i need to have the calendar and tasks synced between the 2, so that they both display the same information. any ideas will be greatly appreciated :)

  2. Is Windows a Virus ?

No, Windows is not a virus. Here's what viruses do:

1.They replicate quickly - okay, Windows does that.

2.Viruses use up valuable system resources, slowing down the system as they do so - okay, Windows does that.

3.Viruses will, from time to time, trash your hard disk - okay, Windows does that too.

4.Viruses are usually carried, unknown to the user, along with valuable programs and systems. - Sigh.. Windows does that, too.

5.Viruses will occasionally make the user suspect their system is too slow (see 2) and the user will buy new hardware. - Yup, Windows does that, too.

Until now it seems Windows is a virus but there are fundamental differences: Viruses are well supported by their authors, are running on most systems, their program code is fast, compact and efficient and they tend to become more sophisticated as they mature.

So Windows is not a virus.

    It's a bug.

  3. Windows xp home pc, last format 10 months ago.

I am having problems logging off of my computer lately. When i select log off, sometimes it does it, other it just sits there and does nothing. i can log out if i run a program and have force applications to close selected. is there a way i can find out what is causing this to happen?

Title Edited - Please follow new posting rules from now on.

  4. ill stick with my 3rd gen ipod thank you very much. i just changed the battery on it, should be good for another 2 years :)

i will admit that its nice, and i like the 30 hours battery time. but the video feature just destroyed the original idea for the ipod as a simple mp3 player

  5. some times when i print something from my windows 2000 machine to my windows xp machine, the printer repeats printing the same file over and over again. i once had 30 pages of something, emptied the ink and paper. i believe it only repeats printing the first page.

when you open up the printer spool manager, it shows the file printing. 1/1, then 2/1 then 3/1. i notice this today, i first though my brother was just an id*** and pushed print 30 copies. could this problem be caused by send to printer directly? ill try spooling it, but i really have no way of testing it except printing and waiting for it to screw up again.

    any ideas will help
