  1. Hi, I am using RunOnceEx metlhod and installing Media Player Classic as part of Real and Quicktime Alternative. By default, Media Player Classic install on \Programs\Media Player Classic folder. Since it doesn't need any installation, can I move it from \Programs\Media Player Classic after being installed by Real or Quicktime Alternative to, let's say, \Programs\Music\Media Player Classic? If yes, how? And then register all filetypes to Media Player Classic? Thanks
  2. I have been playing with this wonderfull application after Laptonic telling me about his program (http://www.msfn.org/board/index.php?showtopic=46640#).. And I have a request I am trying to install Firefox in a choosen directory, not \Programs\Mozilla Firefox. One can easily do that by editing the config.ini inside the original install file of Firefox, after it has been unpacked by SoF. But if one does that, and after repacking again with SoF, it will silently install on the choosen path, but will not install the profile or the extensions. Naturaly because all the default paths of SoF point to the default install directory. My request is: Can you LaptoniC add a function where we can choose the install path? Thanks PS - I have I have expressed myself decently and made it clear.
  3. I have a question that is somehow related to this topic. I am trying to edit the config.ini that is inside the original install file of Firefox. I know that it is a 7zip sfx file. I can see inside the pack with Winrar and 7zip, but they don't let me edit or repleace the files inside them. I thought I could unpack the original file, edit the config.ini and then repack again with 7zip, but I don't know what is the code of the original sfx pack. Can someone help, please?
  4. If thats is all that is in your file it won't work, you need to add this to the top of the fileWindows Registry Editor Version 5.00 <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Thank you, it was so simple . As I just copied and pasted the info in this thread, I would never guess what was wrong
  5. Well, after trying for more than 5 times to import flashget to registy without success - luckly the guide teatches how to use Virtual PC - and after double checking the data, I remembered to double click the register.reg file after Windows beeing installed. As far as I know it should import the data, should't it. I even opened regedit and imported the register.reg file directly. But it is giving me this error: After asking if I want to add register.reg to the registy and me saying yes, it says it is impossible to import because the specified file is not a registry script. It also says that one can only binary registy files from the registry editor. (I don't post the real message because my OS is not in english). What am I doing wrong? I just created a file like [HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\JetCar\JetCar\General] "RegName"="email" "RegPass"="key" "RegDisp"="name"
  6. SiMoNsAyS: I tried two differente things: The first was to put RD /S /Q %systemdrive%\Firefox\ in my cleanup.cmg. The second was to take it off because it was already in your setup as the last command. None worked. Please tell me, how can I make a a reboot before the cleanup? Thank you
  7. I am so glad that I am the only one having a problem, because it means I am not alone. That could be a solution, but it has to be a reazon for that directory not being deleted. I found out that it is not only the command in my cleanup.cmg that fails. The setup.cmg inside SiMoNsAyS Firefox Silent Setup has the same code and it also doesn't do what it is supposed to do. Even the creator of this magnificent setup did not want that Firefox directory. There must be someone that can erase it. Thanks for your attention.
  8. I see what you mean, Astalavista. I'll just have to go slowly. About Flashget, I just wanted to place it in c:\Program Files\Net\Flashget, instead of c:\Program Files\Flashget
  9. Thank you very much Just one more question (another newbie question, I am sure ) Can I choose the directory where to install Flashget, instead of the default?
  10. Just to see if I understand. I have to past into notepad, name it register.reg and place it in the same place as the installation file?An then add this code: REG ADD %KEY%\035 /V 2 /D "REGEDIT /S %systemdrive%\apps\flashget\register.reg" /f?
  11. S0mE0nesMiNd1, please understand and respect my difficulty. Of course I read the guide. It was in there that I learned everything I tried untill now. But, see: - The guide is not complete in the application database http://unattended.msfn.org/global/notcomp.htm I followed the guide and choosed the RunOnceEx option because I understood that most people enjoy this method. In that chapter, the guide or it's exemples don't show anything similar to this: [HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\JetCar\JetCar\General] "RegName"="email" "RegPass"="key" "RegDisp"="name" All RunOnceEx code seems like this: http://unattended.msfn.org/global/examples.htm REG ADD %KEY%\012 /VE /D "FlashGet v1.65" /f REG ADD %KEY%\012 /V 1 /D "%CDROM%\APPS\fgf165.exe /S" /f In the guide's exemple of a RunOnceEx.cmg I see: But what is that register.reg? How do I do it? I have no knowledge about programing. That is why I have difficulties I can't solve without your help. Thank you
  12. Please help me. I am using RunOnceEx method with RunOnceEx.cmg Creator. After reading the guide, I can understand the command to install flashget silently. But I can't understand the code for flashget registration. Where do I insert it on RunOnceEx.cmg Creator? (This may be very simple, but for me is just like reading a strange language that started learning yesterday). I have a second question: Can I choose the directory where I want to install the program, or do I have to stick to default? Thank you for your patience.
  13. Hello. This is my second post (the first one was my introduction). I hope I don't do anything wrong. I installed successfully Firefox 1.0.4 with SymonSays setup. Wonderful I added my bookmarks and all the extensions I wanted, but no profile info. All went ok - all the extensions I added to XPI directory installed without problems. Now I have just one problem: I cannot delete the c:\firefox directory where the installation files were copied. I am using the RunOnceEx method with the help of RunOnceEx.cmd creator. I read the guide and copied some instructions for a cleanup.cmd. The strange is that it deletes the c:\install directory but not c:\firefox directory. Here is my cleanup.cmd: Can someone help?
