  1. oki really nice Alanoll just one question? i run it with the following: REG ADD %KEY%\005 /V 1 /D "%systemdrive%\install\Applications\Winamp\Winamp5094.msi /qb-! INI="%systemdrive%\install\Applications\Winamp\winamp.ini"" /f but it still gives me the install dialouge with a cancel button during install. EDIT i have tried /qb aswell any thoughts on how to get rid of it? thanx
  2. oki doki anything special i need to concider when useing long file/dir names and spaces in the dir/filename? do i need to enclose everything with " or just the part whit the long filename/dirname? and is there any other way of copy the 3 files instead of writing out 3 lines in the batch file with almoast the same command? some thing like this: copy file1, file2, file3 c:\bla bla bla\ instead of: copy file1 c:\bla bla bla copy file2 c:\bla bla bla etc....
  3. Okey but does this work when the file in question already exist in the destination dir? (i want it to be overwritten! does it overwrite whitout any question?) But if i skip the /y switch i will be asked if i am sure i want to overwrite the existing file right? i just want it to be overwritten whitout any questions! How would you do such a task Yzöwl???
  4. Oki so i SUCK BIG TIME at batch files i need a batch file that copy 3 files from a dir to an already existing dir (that have a long dirname and spaces) ill figgure ill use XCOPY rather than COPY right? the 3 files already exists but i want them to be overwritten. please correct, simpify, make suggestions, remake this cmd for me if you will cmdow @ /HID XCOPY /Y file1.txt "%systemdrive%\Program\Dir whit paths\dir whit paths\file1.txt" XCOPY /Y file2.txt ""%systemdrive%\Program\Dir whit paths\dir whit paths\file2.txt" XCOPY /Y file3.txt ""%systemdrive%\Program\Dir whit paths\dir whit paths\file3.txt" EXIT I know this is a really newbie question but like i said i suck at batchfiles thanx for any help though
  5. Btw. Will get a look att the new version now.. sweet ill test tis puppy out great proggi
  6. This is very weird, i have hardly tried to reproduce this error, using different winntbbu.dll's and making no or different changes. I just cant raise this error would you be willing to run a special debug version, if so i will build one which will produce a special .log file, since i currently have no idea why a lock is kept open! Besides that it would be nice if you could look at this Post and get unlocker to verify it's the editor itself keeping the lock open. Any help is highly appreciated on this one <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Sure ill give it a shot no problem. just PM me when its done and ill test it for ya
  7. Okey, where to begin. I call these problems minor cuz the DVD work just fine as it it. but it would be nice to have it just the way you intended to have it. All the problems are in RunOnceEx 1. "Winamp v5.094 by Alanoll" show me a dialouge whit a cancel button (and i dont want that) even if my line looks like this: REG ADD %KEY%\005 /VE /D "WinAmp v5.094" /f REG ADD %KEY%\005 /V 1 /D "%systemdrive%\install\Applications\Winamp\Winamp5094.msi /qb INI="%systemdrive%\install\Applications\Winamp\winamp.ini"" /f 2. All the apps i have that requiers a standalone cmd file "flashes" just by when executed, i think i have seen a porgram somewhere on this forum that fixes this. Its a program like cmdow.exe but it removes the "flashing-by-cmd-window-bug" or what ever you call it. Can´t remember the name and there for can´t search for it 3. "Sun Java VM 1.5.0 Update 4" show a dialouge whit cancel button REG ADD %KEY%\015 /VE /D "Sun Java VM 1.5.0 Update 4" /f REG ADD %KEY%\015 /V 1 /D "%systemdrive%\install\Applications\SunJava\jre-1_5_0_04-windows-i586-p.exe /s /v\"/qb IEXPLORER=1 REBOOT=ReallySuppress\"" /f 4. "Nero Burning ROM v6.6.0.15a Swedish Languagepack" show me a dialouge. The thing is i DONT want to repack, AoutIt, or use more modified Installs (except Winamp) I want to use the Installs AS-THEY-ARE. (ofcourse i can unpack installs to get the msi´s if possible but i like to have a WinXp copy that is super easy to maintain. Since i now have about 40-45 programs to install and they get updated all the time and add all the new hotfixes to add, cleaning up and register tweaks and more there is ALOT of things to be updated frequently. so i dont more job than i need if i still want to have a up-to-date install DVD of Win XP. From the seach on the forum theese are the best switches i have found for my DVD but i refuse to think that my problems are not fixeble. Thanx ppl
  8. Hi there okey on my Unattended DVD i am installing all the hotfixes and updates and applications AS THEY ARE, meaning NO intergration of hotfixes and updates and NO repacking apps for installation I do this so the Source will be super easy to maintain. I am also using Swedish version of XP so no RyanVM packs here. But i have some minor "problems" left to attend to. during RunOnceEx install some updates like KB886903, Framework Swdish Language Pack, HMTCDWizard.msi, and Windows Media Connect (wmcsetup.exe) all show the Dialouge whit a cancel button even if the code looks like this: REG ADD %KEY%\001 /VE /D "Windows Updates and Hotfixes" /f REG ADD %KEY%\001 /V 1 /D "%systemdrive%\install\Applications\Framework_ASP\KB886903.exe /Q" /f REG ADD %KEY%\001 /V 2 /D "%systemdrive%\install\Applications\Framework_SWE\langpack.msi /qb" /f REG ADD %KEY%\001 /V 3 /D "%systemdrive%\install\Applications\High-mat\HMTCDWizard.msi /qb" /f REG ADD %KEY%\001 /V 4 /D "%systemdrive%\install\Applications\WMC\wmcsetup.exe /Q:A /R:N" /f Any ideas on how to get rid of the install dialouges? All the forum searched generated was on how to INTERGRATE theese updates, and i dont want that! Thanx ppl

  10. And i should point out this aswell: in the "About" dialoug you have a link whit the name: "Microsoft Software Forum Network" and it points to here; http://unattended.msfn.org/index.htm but it would be better if it pointed to the actuall MSFN page which is http://www.msfn.org This one: http://unattended.msfn.org/index.htm is for the Unnatended CD/DVD guide And the other link you have takes you to YOUR winntbbuEd post not to the front page of the forum, maby fix the link or fix the link INFO! or add a third link to the front page of the forum!!!! Just some minor thoughts thats all.
  11. Oki doki here we go: First launced v0.3.0 then opened up a copy of winntbbu.dll (that i have copied from my unattended winxp sp2 dir, to the WinntbbuED dir) then i made some changes (doesent matter what kind of changes, i have the same error when i just save it over whitout have done ANY changes) then i save it to the filename winntbbux.dll (note the X inte the end) then i made some more changes to winntbbux.dll and try to save it again (over the already existing winntbbux.dll file) This is where the error occurs. Tell me if you want more info on hardware, WinXP sp2 patches i have installed, Programs i use or any other info neseccary to fix this. EDIT: Ohh and in the settings of WinntbbdED i have ticked both options! Thanx
  12. oki might be a bit of a n00b question for you RyanVM but is there som kind of a list of ALL updates, hotfixes and service pack for ALL components for windows XP, all the windows updates ones and all the special ones? Or how do you know what you are looking for? how do you know that the fixes even exist. I have the Swedish XP and it would be coolt to obtain all the hotfixes and files availeble and not just the ones showing up in Windows Update (or microsoft update if you so will) offcourse i could check your list and download the Swedish version of it but i am curious from where you got it from. Thanx
  13. Okey i found a bug i wanted to view my work of art in the real preview so i quickly saved my file with the filename winntbbuX.dll and the i previewd it later on i made some changes and i tried to save over the winntbbuX.dll then the error uccured. Run-time error '70' Permition Denied Thanx
  14. Hi there GREAT program you have done!! I have a feature that i think should be added if possible. (must admit i havent read the latest posts, but will do so) It would be great if there was a "save" button under each image, like the background and the progress bar pics and so on so one could just save them and make the propper changes to them if one wanted to. Like i just want to change some colors to some pictures for example then this would be a great idé Thanx again
  15. add Windows 2003 Server (and all the different editions)
  16. well if you check over at microsoft they have anonced it as Windows Vista over there... they even hav a video showing you the name anouncement http://www.microsoft.com/windowsvista/default.mspx http://www.microsoft.com/winme/0507/25234/Win_Name_MBR.asx
  17. Okey whatever you decide to do (reinstall or not) 1. get a good Anti Virus protection, Norton Antivirus, NOD, AntiViri Panda, or search on www.download.com 2. get some decent antispyware apps. Lavasoft AdAware, Spybot Search & Destroy, Spywareblaster, Microsoft Antispyware (former Giant Antispyware) 3. Configure your Browser Especially if you use Internet Explorer 6 to not get spyware installed at the first place. ill post a link to this later on, i can´t remember the link to a good tutorial on this right now. Spyware Blocklist 4. Consider using Firefox or maby Avant browser if you still want the IE6 as "ground install" 5. Usa a firewall, Hardware or software. If you are on a DSL connection check if your modem has a built in firewall. ZoneAlarm is a good software firewall check www.download.com for more 6. Backup. i NEVER backup everything and make silly restore points, i backup everything i think i need to backup, like favorites, documents, program saves, game saves and stuff i downloaded i need to save and so on. But none the less BACKUP. If you do it like i do you dont have to worry as much for getting REinfected again, there are offcourse macro viruses for Word documents but they are easily removed whit any antivirus program later on. 7. Update your Windows, i suppose you use Windows XP? well it doesnt matter, update none the less. Download ALL the critical updates that Windows Update finds. 8. And be carefull what you download and install and dont click "Yes" on popups on the internet that looks like install dialougs, unless you are really sure. and watch out for email attachments 9. Use several different programs for removing Viruses, Trojans, Spyware and so on as most of them finds different things and they complement eachother pretty well. Optimize XP: Covers all of the above, a really good guide Optimize 2000: Same guide as above but for Windows 2000 Antispyware Bundle Program I know this post might be a bit n00b but many people seems to think that that they will never get viruses! Thanx and good luck!
  18. does the msi work on any language of CS2? Swedish?
  19. I have the same problem as you do and i will soon test this: REG ADD %KEY%\017 /VE /D "Cacheman 5.50.30" /f REG ADD %KEY%\017 /V 1 /D "%systemdrive%\install\Applications\Cacheman\cachm550.exe /S" /f REG ADD %KEY%\017 /V 2 /D "%systemdrive%\install\Applications\Cacheman\Sleep.exe /t:5 /s:1 REG ADD %KEY%\017 /V 3 /D "taskkill /IM notepad.exe /F" /f REG ADD %KEY%\017 /V 4 /D "taskkill /IM Cacheman.exe /F" /f in my RunOnceEx.cmd dont know if it works yet though. anyway i noticed that in your "script" you are trying to kill readme.txt, i wounder if that really works. Maby kill notepad.exe will work better. and then offcourse add sleep.exe just right before that. as i said i dont know if this work yet Bye EDIT: Btw is it possibe to set Cachman not to start up as default everytime Windows boots up?
  20. Maby it helps if we can see your files: (winnt.sif, cmdlines and the rest that could be involved) dont forget to remove any info regarding serial numbers and passwords etc.
  21. Alhrighty then.. ill see what i can dig up for ya. think i might have some intresting stuff you could add.. ill get back to you on this
