there is an awfull lot wrong with it, you are missing " from the end of most strings and also you are using some of my program's that you dont have, it is best if you start from scratch using only the entries that you need, also are you registering it with the cmdlines.cmd script?

using an exe or com file is a lot more tempromental than a simple cmd script, my advice is use a cmd script, but the app is called bat2exec do a search on google for it

i did try it, but had no luck, but , i didnt really look into greatly, i was more bothered about seeing if i could get it alltogether and what it looked like, now i got it working though, i will look into that a little more, i know you can use %userprofile%

add this line REGEDIT /S %systemdrive%\install\Setup.reg now instead of looking at an ugly command screen you can look at a nice windows update screen n.b not tried a full install yet, but i have which user are you using? if it is the admin account then do as terminator says set auto logon using an obscene value ie: 1,000,000. however if you are creating a user with cmdlines.txt & a batch at the end of guisetup then you need to set adminautologon=no also you cannot specify a password for your account, please be a little more specific on user account, and then we can be a little more specific with the help

Hi, please please please, someone must know of a way to configure a dial up connection using vbs or from a cmd script, there must be a way of doing it, my modem software sets it up for me, but i cant use that software as i have to type in my name address and phone number so i have downloaded a driver setup from the net which doesnt prompt for any info, so i need to be able to set my username and password from some kind of script, i have looked in the registry but it is in users\s-blah blah so i cant use that, ieak wont save username and password either, so if anyone can help i would be eternally gratefull Lee....

I was just thinking to myself, i wonder how much money the cd-r manufacturers are making off us guys "i bet it is more than i earn...lol..." the amount of wasted discs due to errors or a new file can be hacked so we just have to try it, then it came to me, why not use cd-rw discs, but i thought to myself surely somebody else would have done this, so then i thought maybe its not possible to make a cd-rw disc bootable, forgive me for being silly, but can you make it bootable????

I will explain it a little better For auto log on there has to be only one account "unless auto logging on to admin" hence why we have to make admin account inactive and also you cant have your account password protected "of course there are apps that can do this ie tweakUI, but we are talking about first time running here and if anyone wants to spends hours writing a script to do it all, then be my guest" you can allways add a password once you are logged in. by adding this code to a cmd script net user AarronXP mypassword hope this clarifies it a little

well for auto logon you need to edit a few things ie: in your user.cmd add these lines to disable the admin account and you need to have no password for your account so use this code for user.cmd @echo off net user AarronXP /add net localgroup "administrators" AarronXP /add net localgroup "users" AarronXP /delete net user administrator /active:no!!!!!!!IGNORE THIS LINE!!!!!!!!!! as simple as that "I THINK" ATTENTION!!!!! Please do not set admin account inactive, YOU cannot log in as admin afterwards and is very hard to make active again i have locked myself out.....lol.... i am working on a work around for this, will keep you posted, the code should work anyway, as admin is not displayed on welcome screen by default anyway, "might need to set autoadminlogon=no in your winnt.sif file though to prevent it also welcome screen needs to be enabled "but that is default anyway" try it and let me know good luck Lee........

could get messy, is easier logging in with admin priv and editing reg, dont know though, would have to try out both methods and way up the pro's and con's of each, would need access to the registry to auto log in can that be set from cmdlines??? if so may be possible, i dont think xp creates the regestry for a user till first log on, cus b4 that it is *hive*.inf where registry gets its hives from now if you could edit that then maybe.... is that making sence or am i just rambling????

the answer to it all is never turn your computer on, that way no need for hotfixes...lol...
