  1. What can you expect from drinking POISON?... caffein aspartame red 40 blue 1 yellow 5 yellow 6 baking soda etc. Anyone want to prove these toxins are good for you? Doctors need to read "Human Body for Dummies" because they're just plain stupid about anything but money.
  2. I like "softport.org". But have you checked to see if there isn't already a site which provides those services?
  3. On a side note, when I use the embedded Google search at the top of every page, the search works only the first time. It brings up the results with what I searched for in the box at the top. If I select forums and click search again for the exact same text, it finds nothing. Of course, your search link at the top right of every page works perfect. But that puts more server usage on MSFN, so I tend to not use it.
  4. Name suggestion: Purplex
  5. Good idea!
  6. Hah, hah... that's the sure way to do it.
  7. They're all real screenshots. Interesting. Now let's get back to what I was reading... I mean, there's got to be a single "most"! Ice cream stops viruses?
  8. It took me only 30 minutes ... but then mine isn't perfect like some of those on Flickr. I'm sure one could go faster if they had done scores of them before.
  9. The link at the bottom of your page points to http://www.scriptsnmore.com.com/
  10. I use <emailaddresshere>@<myusernamehere>.cjb.net This is a third level domain, so I don't know if it applies here.
  11. What? What! I was just about to click that... that... oh, where did that "Buy" button go?
  12. I do that too. I check MSFN every day, just wanting something to pop up. I'm in America, and it seems like everybody posts in the nighttime. Maybe I'm the only one out here...?
  13. Trial and error, mostly error. It still isn't perfect, but because the picture is from one location, and our eyes look from two locations at once, you don't notice in the picture that things don't line up.
  14. Here's mine: (bigger picture) What's strange is that it doesn't look real when you are looking at the laptop, only when you're looking at the picture of the laptop. EDIT: sorry, the links were still pointing locally. Fixed it now.
  15. Three people voted YES! What for?
  16. ... And if the forum is open to the public to read like MSFN. As personal info increases, so does identity theft. Is it a coincidence?
  17. "this is not a Photoshop trick, this is his REAL desktop image" http://www.flickr.com/photos/w00kie/7350188/in/set-180637/ P.S. It was working all day, and now it says they are "having a massage". Probably just down temporarily.
  18. Amazing how such a simple thing is funny. You know, what makes one thing funny and another not?
  19. I didn't realize you were talking about the xerox folder. That is a folder always in use by Windows XP's winlogon.exe component. It's there on a clean install of windows. Using Process Explorer, you can close the handle to allow deletion, but it just comes back the next restart. One solution is to disable SFC, then delete it, but this leaves your system unprotected by SFC: http://www.annoyances.org/exec/forum/winxp/1063930641 The folder is always empty, and harmless, so I'd say ignore it.
  20. Another idea: at a command prompt, run this... cacls "C:\Temp" Replace C:\Temp with the full path to the offending folder. Then paste the output here (your user name isn't important, so replace it with **** to keep it private if you want).
  21. Sorry, I didn't explain. It is a freeware program available from http://www.mstsoftware.com/cFreeware.aspx To use, run it. Then drag the offending file (or folder) and drop it on mstIsUsedBy. It will show you (if it can find a handle) which program(s) are locking it.
  22. Have you tried restarting your computer? You could also use mstIsUsedBy to find out what program is using it.

    Looks similar to this one: Windows 1.01 - http://www.mix.sk/pix1/s002.gif Windows 3.1 logo - http://www.onecomputerguy.com/computer/page_7.htm
  24. @LiquidSage - that also removes MHT. For me, I wrote a program to automatically select MHT. If anybody wants it, here's the link: http://kajsoftware.cjb.net/software.php
  25. Try this tweak from X-Setup, titled "Passport sites: Load automatically when visiting Passport sites" Key: HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\CLSID\{F3A614DC-ABE0-11d2-A441-00C04F795683}\LocalServer32 Delete the "(Default)" value (create a reg key backup or write down what the original value was first!) If it doesn't fix it, please put it back to the original value, so it doesn't leave a disabled CLSID laying around. Could you post a link to the website(s) which make this happen, so we can test it on our computers?
