electrostatic issue? sounds like this for me, so there is no way to recover it... maybe a specialized company would do. maybe the drives electronics was "killed". or changing temperature by transporting... did you waited about 1-2 hours before connecting the drives? so thermal shock, electronics "killed" there is more but everything is the same as I mentioned above. EDIT: and the pins on the data connector, are they not "crooked " (hope it is good translated)?

there is a tool that resets resolution or something like that.. disable all Catalyst autorun tools.

try to uninstall the problematic device in Device manager and then the Secondary channel. then restart. after restart should the devices automaticly be reinstalled. XP put a device into PIO mode if a couple of errors by communitating appears and what I wrote is a workaround.

Laptop Work-Home Can't be a member of two networks
tester_pedro replied to Pauly001's topic in Windows XP
it exists some software where you save your net configuration for home and then for office use and then the software makes the configuration for you, you need only select witch you want to use. For example I get it from my notebook reseller for free. But is a commercial solution and I don't know if something exist under open source or freeware. Maybe Google will be the solution. -
for me some png files popup a download box, some are shown so maybe there are some problems with interpreting the png directly into IE window so it let you download it. but this is only my point of view of this problem

some antiviruses have bootable CD but i think that as you wrote, you are not skilled enough to solve it this way try the links that firefoxthebomb wrote here, hope there will be no problem with activex installing
-
I don't mean removed/deleted only badly written to HDD when shutting down windows... it happens sometimes (who didn't see it, then you a lucky man) from the screenshot... you have ezantivirus so if you updated it regulary, there should be no problem but you can try another antivirus to be sure

and thats right under my post.. so I took it a little personal. when I reply to a thread then only when I have something to say not only for flaming. had bad experience so I wanted to warn people that the tweaker could do something bad as it happened to me.
-
holly ... :-O I would say something very strange has happend. the process csrss.exe is a only once but normally there are about 4 or 5 of them, so I would say that only reinstall would help but... first tell, what adapter card you removed? try to run chkdsk, maybe when turnin' off some files get "scrambled" something in the startup process get bad...there is only windows update in the tray.
-
simple, it is like you connect an usb flash memory stick, for windows is a bit the same but be careful, doin' something like this you can very badly damage your computer. a HDD consume about 2A (I think its more) when powerin' up and if you have an old or not strong enough power supply, then you can overload it and mobo can be burned.

flaming? no testing? oh come on guys I wouldn't say something that I have not tested!!!! my conclusion? NO IMPROVEMENTS, SCRAMBLED MY INSTALLATION A BIT (tweaks reset and logonui reset to default) maybe if you read my posts a little bit more then you would realize that I have tested it and only giving my experience and investigations about this little tweaker. I though that for this kind of post are forums for and when I give my experience to other so I'm a FLAMER?
-
I have the same experience. my logonui was reset to default and so on... As I examined what the tweaker does it only alocate more memory for the kernel so more space for caching a smoother loading of progies that uses kernel function. Maybe the tweaker could be some sort of "screw-my-system_ware" If it would be april then I would say a April joke but it isn't. I would say this: ntdetect is only for preinitializing and do some hardware detection (when i look with a hex viewer into it then on the end I see this: NOIRQSCAN NOIRQROUTING PCIENUM RDBUILD NOLEGACY FASTDETECT NOSERIALMICE NOSERIALMICE AT/AT COMPATIBLE PCI BIOS PCI Real-mode IRQ Routing Table PCI PCI Devices APM PNP BIOS Docking State Information EISA ISA ACPI BIOS UNKNOWN_KEYBOARD OLI_83KEY OLI_102KEY OLI_86KEY OLI_A101_102KEY XT_83KEY ATT_302 PCAT_ENHANCED PCAT_86KEY PCXT_84KEY COM PARALLEL UNKNOWN NO MOUSE MICROSOFT MICROSOFT BALLPOINT LOGITECH PS2 MOUSE SERIAL MOUSE INPORT MOUSE BUS MOUSE PS2 MOUSE WITH WHEEL SERIAL MOUSE WITH WHEEL 1234567890 QWERTYUIOP ASDFGHJKL ZXCVBNM FLOPPYx OSDISKx DETLOG1 PcCardController) and ntldr is the same but it it loads some kernel files and so around starting.

maybe you have to call the activation center , there is no other solution I think
-
oh sorry my mistake did the recovery tool give some error message? and what about the U-Storage software? is there some function that could have (have you tried to install it?) I thought that I could help but.... maybe the transcend forum members could... try to find help there.
-
have you tried this? http://www.transcendusa.com/Support/DLCent...RecoverDisk.exe or try to get this thru http://www.transcendusa.com/Support/DLCenter/index.asp or try search for the TS128.... sign... it helped me to find but I really should go to work
-
soooo... as I googled I found out that it should have some recovery function that returns the stick to its initial status... but how to activate it I didn't found out but I will look for it after I come home from work. bye for now... its "working time"
-
didn't tested but: 1) how exatly did you get the values? I mean the times of loading IE,OE etc. 2) the ram consume is bigger and bigger so I think that something is preloaded to get "this and that" run quicker 3) look at the graphs from taskman... they aren't from the same time after boot I think... so for me there are not much really good info that it really works BUT CONVIENCE ME ABOUT MY MISTAKE
-
have you tried to search on manufacturers web? or give some info about the stick... (manufacturer/some identification) or simply give this info into google
-
Maybe you will need some recovering software from the manufacturer. If you have a CD that you should have from the package where the flash memory was try searching there. Then it should guide you to "Recover format". I think there is no "for all" recovery software, cause this there are so many usb flash disks.

a virus? screwed system,registry... or anything else... hard to say... don't sit there
