Have you tried autoit? Its free and can send any key you wish. Its very simple and even has a fantastic help system. It comes with a file is help identify the handle of whatever input is needed then you simply tell it to "send enter or tab" or whatever key yuo want it to and it will.

It downloads ALL the updates for windows 2000, 2003, XP and i think maybe for Vista too plus all the versions of office. it then compiles them into an iso if you wish or what ive done is copy it onto my unnattended dvd as it has its own installer too with options such as no reboot. So i know that when i come to use my pc its totally updated! Hope this helps

Im still suprised you can still even ask for help considering you already broke the EULA agreement. Futhermore if you did some research on the components you wish to remove (its not that hard) then you could remove them yourself and fulyl understand what is happening without the need for another program, thus you would look even better in the eyes of your superiors.

yes my cousin had plugged it in before he had put in the install disk. i tried it with the ipod plugged in and without. how can i delete any reference to it so i can "start again fresh"?

THE COMP IS IN MY COUSINS HOUSE WHICH IS HARD FOR ME TO GET TO I CAN ONLY GO UP EVERY NOW AND AGAIN SO I HAVENT RAN CHECK DISK YET. I RAN SPYWARE CHECKER AND IT REMOVED QUITE A FEW FILES. hi my friend has a virus on the computer or maybe a corruption. he has a hard drive, cd write and floppy drive, C:, D:, A: but whenever i try to iinstall itunes or the new mcafee security suite it starts the installer then errors saying there is a problem with drive E: does anyone know of any virus's that do this or what i can do to solve it Title Edited - Please follow new posting rules from now on. --Zxian

have u looked at the bart PE beta its on the 911cd forum it has a batch file to enable you to make a usb flash disk into a bootable device. and if its for your project i dont think that you need the OS to be fully functioning for everyday use. its just to use for your project and there is a patch to stop the 24 hours limit. but i think you should get it just to check out anyway. there is also another program out called flashboot have a look for it. its in early stages but still works.

hmmm very interesting and i will have a look. is it possible that your computer had a virus and the audio.exe was infected by the virus but not originally carried it?

hi in win 2000 do you have java installed or IE6? just wondering coz these things might help. i too am making a disk with xp and 2000sp4 so ill be keeping an eye on this thread

2soulin: it gives you a list of the programs that have a hold of our file. i dont know if it uses handles i found it on a great site and thought id share with you all the site is apps n stuff this site is great and if you take a look you will se why. you can get anything here almost

unlocker1.3.exe have you ever tried to delete a file and it tells you that another program is using it so it cant be deleted? well install this and right click on the file click on unlocker and it will tell you which files has control of it and it can unlock it for you its great.

just to add an idea i use easyboot to install all my windows, bartpe, erd etc... and i was under the impression that the optimize function "took away" if you will the duplicate files and just had one reference??? am i wrong??? if not the couldnt you make multiple copies of win xp with the different settings and then compile them all onto once cd and use the optimize function to save the space? well if i am wrong i apologise and could someone explain what the optimise function does? pls

well i have 2 ways for you to enable you to boot from a usb stick 1 is free and 1 is a trial. the ist is PE builder 3.14 beta version which i havent got the link for right now but you should all know how to find i think its on the forum somewhere anyway install it and go to the directory and there is a bat file which enables you to do it and a handy little txt file to tell you how the only prob is that there is a lengthy download from microsoft in order to make it work. oh and its still in beta phase. the 2nd one is flashboot flashboot this is a download (quite small) and allows you to also make a flashdrive bootable but its trial allows you to build and then run it once thats all so you will have to buy it. if you do though there is a great program out there called 98lite and its like nlite but just for win 98 (as name suggests). the site has claimed to get 98SE down to 8mb still with explorer and run it off a flash drive for an "instant boot" once again you have to purchase but a demo is available and once again i dont have the link right now but will post it later. well i hope this has been helpful ive got so much information from this forum and its nice to give something back. enjoy! here ive attatched 98 lite (dont know if this is allowed but its only the demo)

it shouldnt be that hard im on my wireless network now accessing the internet inmy garden. the way i did it was the cheating easy way. i installed sp2 on all the xp computers i wanted to hook up and it has its own wizard for doing this kind of hook up. i started it and hooked up my usb drive and then attatched it to the other comps on the network and it automatically did it all now whenever i log on my laptops automatically connect to my server. ive never used 2003 server but maybe this has the same sort of wizard if not try installing any service packs it may have.

have you tried installing it from the cdrom? changing %system% to %cdrom% and set the rar sfx to aytomatically run setup.exe once its finished extracting?
