nLite has been around for a long time, vLite since nearly the beginning of Vista. Like any software you potentially would like to use, do some research. I've been using both for a long time and never had issues.
After installing XP SP2 on my laptop my cut shortcut doesn't seem to work. Never ran across this before and I was hoping if someone knew what I removed to cause this. Also if you know a way to re-enable it in anyway. Thanks. LAST_SESSION.INI
I created an Nlited XP media edition for my laptop. I left the telephony service intact. I can see the modem in device manager. However when I go to create a new connection with the new connection wizard the only option i have is "connect using broadband...", dial up networking is greyed out. Am I missing something and/or did I remove something I shouldn't have. And if I did is there any way of fixing it. Attached is my last session file. LAST_SESSION.INI
For some reason my compatibility with WMP is gone. I keep getting this error: "This version of Windows Media Technologies is incompatible with this version of Windows." I swore I left the NLite install WMP compatible. Is there any way to restore compatibility or do I have to remake an install disk? Last_Session.ini
Well after posting this : Processing Issue I continued to play to figure out why its not working. Well at the same place, processing setup files, I received this error: Any Ideas??
Thought this might help.....its the same issue as in this post from nov. '05 Processing Setup Files Freeze Exactly the same issue I'm experiencing. I'd go back to 1.0, but it doesn't support 7zip add-ons. Sorry shoulda edited my post above.
For some reason on this version it keeps freezing on processing setup files. I've tried numerous times to see what it might be. Installed framework, .net 1.1, .net 2.0 with no success. Anyone have any ideas? Last session attached. Last_Session.txt
Well I looked through the system 32 folder and all the files required are there. It also does the same thing for services.msc. Kind of stuck on what happened. Attached is my Session log. Last_Session.txt
I just reinstalled xp with Nlite. The device manager comes up but it has a gray bar on the top and you cant see nothing except for a white screen. I see in the what not to remove post on what files are needed. Is there any way to fix this without making another xp disc? And if not how do I add those files from being removed next time? Thanks.
