  1. LMAO I don't think I wanted to see that guy take off his pants though...
  2. Lol took me a while to get why the little girl was swearing .
  3. Excellent! Always wanted a way to distribute my porn collection!
  4. @Ripken204 Reducing the number of drivers considerably speeds up boot. Some people might enjoy playing games without sound, or they may be 3-D professionals (whom I'm also targeting with GE) that don't require sound functionality. I've decided that I'm making all nonessential components optional unless the user decides otherwise. This includes USB support, PS/2 support, etc. This helps in creating a minimal footprint for a variety of systems.
  5. New poll: should CD-ROM and audio functionality be a default, or as an addon?
  6. Well if it doesn't work, then I doubt that your computer will go smoother and faster. Of course, human perception might lead you to believe it is. But here is my proof that the memory manager resides in the kernel file, not the boot files: http://www.microsoft.com/whdc/driver/kerne...rnel.mspx#EDLAC I seriously cannot understand why the work of an unknown Polish guy with absolutely nothing to back his tweak up can enthrall all these people. To further support my claims, I found the exact functions of the two files: Source: Microsoft There's absolutely no mention of a memory manager . These files are strictly for booting purposes only. If you guys still don't believe me after such conclusive evidence, then I feel very sorry for you.
  7. Lots of sites with greedy/poor owners using free/ad-supported hosting are also a source of spyware.
  8. Download the correct drivers from the manufacturer?
  9. *Sigh* this topic is one of 'em: http://www.msfn.org/board/index.php?showtopic=67439. Apparently, everyone disregarded my earlier post about the memory controller residing in the kernel .
  10. @Gdogg Maybe you shouldn't be talking about processor instructions if you have no idea what they are . MMX and SSE3 are multimedia technologies designed to increase performance on multimedia applications. Only applications should implement it; operating systems only need to support it (which XP does). And MMX dates back to the 1990's, so I doubt it's another name for 64-bit. Next time, don't make such a fool out of yourself .
  11. Load the Software hive and find that key .
  12. @Vitalex I only post the hardware I'm proud of . The OCZ is Platinum Series 2-3-2-5 timings. And in my opinion, Thermalright is the best when it comes to air cooling. Pair up their products with a Panaflo or Tornado and watch your silicon drop 20 degrees .
  13. @Gdogg There shouldn't be any reason why it can't support 3DMark, but I haven't tried it yet. And I've changed my plans about it, there will be a 32-bit version available.
  14. Still shipping . Being the penny-pincher I am, I don't expect to see it in 5-15 days (plenty of time for me to perfect Windows GE) .
  15. Final specces: + AMD Opteron 165 - Thermalright SI-120 - Panaflo 80CFM Fan + MSI 7800GT - Thermalright V1 Ultra - Panaflo 45CFM Fan + 2GB OCZ Memory + 2 x WD Raptors RAID 0
  16. But I thought 7.6GHz was better than 7GHz !
  17. Just bought the V-1 Ultra for my 7800GT. I was seriously considering replacing the stock 24CFM fan with a Vantec Tornado 80CFM fan, but instead opted for a quieter Panaflo .
  18. Much higher clockspeeds have since been reached. That article dates back to 2003.
  19. Well let's hope its for the last time .
  20. I can't take pics because I don't have a digital camera ...
  21. Just bought the Vantec Tornadoes for my case fans . Once I have them installed, my new computer will be done. Let's just hope that I don't go deaf with 2 x Raptors and 2 x Tornadoes .
  22. Many of the tweaking applications claim that they provide "undocumented" registry tweaks that no other tweaking apps offer, but most of these claims are just shady marketing tactics. However, there are many (undocumented) tweaks that exist for Windows. These tweaks are only useful for a relatively powerful computer with plentiful amounts of RAM. Unfortunately, the amount of work necessary to find out these tweaks and what they do deters any programmer making a tweaking app. There may be other ways, but I found out many hidden tweaks for my Windows XP Gamer's Edition project by emailing a friend at Microsoft who had access to the Windows source code.
  23. Not to mention those are Foood's icons, not MS...
  24. The setup.exe is a bootstrapper, meaning it's like a shortcut that runs the MSI file.
  25. @treblA I'm not sure, it's not a question of what genre it is, but whether it uses DirectX or not.
