on the motherboard manaull it said that it will support p3 and 650mhz Do you know a motherboard that will accpet a Slot 1 600e P3 also the ram that i currently have on the mobo

Problem is that: Accoring to the motherboard site,my motherboard dont need an updated bios and it should accpet the P3 automatically with no problems...i emailed techs support but they take forever to email back

I already set the dip switches for the pentium and i the bios cant be reached

I replace my old P2 to a P3 and when i boot up the computer this is what comes up: I-MMX at CPU 98mhz VCore= ?.??v The motherboard(GA-6BXE) can support the P3 and the P3 mhz(its a 650mhz P3) Anyway to fix this so i can get my pc up and running

Question about foobar: When loading songs into foobar,does it read Media Data(or w/e wmp calls) for the songs names and stuff like that?

I still share my pc with my mom and ever time she tells me see wants to go on,i get a litte hard....but right now i cant complain,since i am in the process of rebuilding our old computer and that will become my own pc once it get networked

IF i did wanna use any large file,which i normally dont work on that much,i will use my current computer which has 512mb of ram

On the computer they will be 256mb total ram.....and i dont use large files in photoshop

its a 40gb hard drive at 7200rpm and in the computer,they will be 256mb total ram

Do i need to change the bus speed on the mobo for the new P?

I dont know,off hand,but i think both P's are both 600E I know the Pentium 3 is a 600E,i forgot what the P2 is,but i am pretty sure it s a 600e
