  1. Latest beta build - 1705108172 - January 12th - Still works on Windows 8.1. I don't think they updated CEF beyond 109 yet, so it should still work on W7 as well. PS: Autoupdate still works on beta builds in 8.1.
  2. The latest beta build - 1703100617 - released on December 20th is still working. The countdown at the top of the screen says zero but it works.
  3. Thanks, I´ve removed the link. The laptop I´ve got Windows 8.1 on has a prehistoric SIS display adapter that Bsods on W10+, so I`m stuck. Luckly MS will be realeasing updates untill 2026 for Server 2012 R2...
  4. I'm happy to report that Windows Server 2012 R2 updates work on Windows 8.1 ... This is the package for August: KB5029312 (It's 64 bit only from now on).
  5. @win32Got it working on 8.1. Thanks! Really appreciate it! Only had to redirect core-localization-l1-2-2. By the way, I first tried using a W11 Dwrite (22000 something) and it didn't work. Switched to W10 (10.0.19041.1566) and its been running smoothly.
  6. I'm typing this on W8.1 running Chrome 111.0.5542.0, so it still works. I've found that after rev 5520 many of Chrome's internal pages will cause it to crash. The worst offender being chrome://newtab because I use it often. If Chrome is crashing when launched it's either because its trying to restore a previous session with an offending page or its starting a new instance with newtab. The workaround is to downgrade to 5520 and install one of several available extensions that redirects chrome://newtab to another website. You can try this one or this other one. But theres a bunch of others.
