  1. Now I have re-installed Windows completely and followed all the steps again,it finally works!As you can see,it started to update itself! Hope no more errors will appear.
  2. I found that everytime I tried to search the updates,the wuaueng.dll always restored into its own old verison.How can I stop this? PS:The MU site's buttons suddenly stop working,too.Maybe they have some thing in common.

  4. It worked!I can access the web site now. But when I scan updates use my proxy,it returns me 0x80244019. PS:I have installed your program and set personal settings follow your steps (reinstall the Agent, add registry keys, replace wuaueng.dll with patched version, set my proxy in IE)

  7. Hello,everybody! Now Iam trying to restore Microsoft Update on Windows 2000. I installed the ActiveX Plug-in with Windows XP's steps(muweb.dll&mucltui.dll),but the website still requires the plug-in. I wonder that there are some differences between Windows XP and Windows 2000?
  8. Hello everybody! I just realized that we still missing some page in it. I accessed the website accidentally on my Windows 2k3 VM and found out the thanks page are still missing! It is not necessary,but I think it will be more prefect if we have them.

  10. Hello everybody! After I installed nearly all the updates of Windows Server 2003(including R2&.Net 2.0 SP1)(A Update Pack made by others online),the MU worked! I think it's not a good idea to leave so much updates for MU&WU. PS:This post may help the people who have a fresh installed Windows XP&2K3(Also for myself!)
  11. Now I can visit the site.But it searched for the updates for a long time.Is that normal? (At first I used Windows Update and it searched for about two hours? and then installed KB938759) Howerver,I'm going to sleep and try to search updates through Microsoft Update tomorrow.

  13. Thank you for the post.But I have already "installed" it. Some updates can't be installed after I apply PosReady.reg.(Maybe Windows Server 2003 doesn't support these updates?)(KB4467770, KB4019276, KB4493435)

  15. Hello,everybody! Now I'm setting a fresh installed Windows Server 2003 VM. I have already installed IE 8 and use the proxy can access the site. But when I search for updates,it returns me 0x80072f78(Firewall disabled,WU site). I also find that some updates on the guide can't be installed. How can I make it work? Do I need some other updates?

  20. I didn’t use dns because I have a Active Directory.I may configure one in the future.So I’m testing the page by typing the server’s ip.When I‘m testing,the thing happens.
