I get the error 0x80072EFD and i use the proxy that is available on i430vx's site. The site is v6 with error 0x80072EFD, not anything other.

Already tried that and not working. Is there a patch for Win2k?

I tried using the ipconfig command line but it didn't work. When I launch IE6 on Win2000, WU stucks at the 1st page and the proxy wrote 4 lines and stopped writing. And IE crashed. So what can I try now? Microsoft is silly for shutting down the update servers.

There is a proxy for W2K (ProxHTTPSProxy). Is it a good idea to use it for Windows Update?
