  1. this maybe of use to get nvidia go support. g. nv4_dispgo.inf
  2. is the intel inf update included in dp chipset? http://downloadfinder.intel.com/scripts-df...al&submit=Go%21 ta
  3. the point in using the omega and extreme g nvidia drivers is that you get support for the laptop chips and the drivers are usually game tested more. All you have to do is pick the versions that are built on the stable driver version. Point is the guys who make these modified drivers know a heck of a lot about them. g.
  4. ah i hadn't seen that post bash thanks. maybe a link from all new driverpack postings ? g.
  5. have you looked into the open source sb live and audigy drivers http://kxproject.lugosoft.com .They've been stablised over a few years now. the installer creates the inf and driver files on the hard disk so you can just copy that folder into the driverpack. I'm going to try it out myself. (i've used the drivers before as they give better asio support with the old sb live cards g.
  6. I've not used masstorage for a while now because of all the problems . what issues are still outstanding? From what I can see most people who actually need a driver appear to do it manually rather than even using the pack. Will I get a bsod with sis chipsets or nforce3 or nforce 4? like asus sli boards that i install. Would be good if outstanding issues could be posted with the releases. g.
  7. if you install the latest omega drivers it copies the install files to a programs folder then offers a prompt for you to start installing. inside the install folder is \2KXP_INF. I just used windows update driver from device manager and pointed to this folder and it found the mobile rad 9000 driver and it appears to have installed the control panel as well. Red tabs in the advanced settings. so i'm going to use this in the dp's from now on as i need mobile support. + there are separate folders containing .inf files with fastwrites set on and tag files with softmodded driver version for 95x and 97x. very nice methinks. g.
  8. If you use the omega ati drivers you get mobility support. also i just unpacked the drivers to a folder browsed to the folder with windows driver update and the control panel seems to be installed as well. He's releasing 5.4 version next week. g.
  9. erm i hope this hasn't been asked before, i did try searching but the only driver missing from my nforce installs using all the latest dp's is "sm bus controller." i ripped it out the nforce driver install and copied it to my driver packs... could it be included in mass storage or something? g.
  10. I've found even my raw xp home oem source produces this error with no modification so the saga continues. At least my xp pro vlk seems rock solid now. g.
  11. I've gone ever so slightly bonkers after trying to fix this problem. Only so many simulated installs a person can take. I got one xpcreate install with dp's to work last week but i couldn't understand how or why because it was some god forsaken hour in the night. I've finally worked out what the problem is , i hope, as i've done quite a few successful installs after using xpcreate. I think the problem occurs when i include svc-swf, the updated macromedia flash cab. Seems unbelievable but it appears to be the case. I've only vmwared it so tomorrow i'll try a real install.
  12. Oh it may be of some use I created a generic presetup.cmd file which will work with windows2000 and allow for winnt32.exe installs where the driverpacks are already uncompressed on the local machine. 13. yes soon as paypal is up my company will donate. g. bash + ££££ =
  14. btsunattended seems to be down... eager to try out these new driver packs as i've finally managed to get my winnt32.exe installs to work, yay! Any ideas about mirrors? Would be great to get it on sourceforge or summat. g.
  15. i get this same problem when i try and install xp with ryanvm's update applied. this is the script that i start the install from winpe with. I386\winnt32.exe /s:I386 /noreboot /unattend:unattend.txt and this is my unattend file:- ;SetupMgrTag [Data] AutoPartition=1 MsDosInitiated="0" UnattendedInstall="Yes" [Unattended] UnattendMode=FullUnattended OemSkipEula=Yes OemPreinstall=No TargetPath=\WINDOWS [GuiUnattended] AdminPassword="test" EncryptedAdminPassword=NO OEMSkipRegional=1 TimeZone=85 OemSkipWelcome=1 [UserData] ProductKey=xxxxxxxx FullName="test" OrgName="test" ComputerName=* [TapiLocation] CountryCode=44 [RegionalSettings] LanguageGroup=1 SystemLocale=00000809 UserLocale=00000809 InputLocale=0809:00000809 [Identification] JoinWorkgroup=WORKGROUP pulling my hair out over this as i got all the driverpacks to work fine only to find out this is another problem. This is a standard xp cd with sp2 which i've tried without ryan vm hotfixes integration and it works fine. But with and I get the missing file error at t15.Someone please help! g.
  16. hmm i tried a vanilla xp home oem cd with a winnt32.exe install and i got this same error about the internet connection wizard at 15mins (Without any xpcreate updates.) Are winnt32 installs disabled with oem copies? g.
  17. I just tried a manual integration of ryanvm's updatepack and i still get the same problem so it must relate to some change that the updates make. g.
  18. i'm wondering whether the problem is that dosnet.inf isn't updated by xpcreate. Is this is the case? g.
  19. Hello all I get this error at 15mins "windows cannot load internet configuration utility icfgnt.dll . the specified module could not be loaded." I've read on this forum that this relates to unsigned drivers somehow. I've tried the source cd that i used with xpcreate and it works fine. by the gosh method i mean running winnt32.exe /noreboot from a network share to install the install files to the local machine. I'm then going to image this machine so i can start fresh installs on any machines much quicker. With xpcreate i'm integrating all the xp hotfixes, even the 22feb one in HF1 and wmp10. Does anyone have ideas why this is happening ? I used identical winnt.sif files. I did add some patched files to my xpcreate version but i'm using the UseSignatures="no" line so it should be okay. any help greatly appreciated, g.
  20. To all those with a sis based mobo to fix the bsod all i did was apply bash's manual fix for some of the hardware id's then remove the two lines :- PCI\VEN_1039&DEV_5513= "sis5513" PCI\VEN_1039&DEV_5518= "sis5518"
  21. I've got a problem with my xpcreate install that when i install office 2000 premium a wfp prompt comes up asking for the sp2 cd. Usually you can click cancel to allow wfp files to be overwritten but if you click cancel with this install office 2000 quits. any ideas ? It's not an issue on a vanilla xp with sp2 integrated install. Incidently the base cd i use for xpcreate has sp2 integrated already . Should this be a problem ? thanks, g.
  22. What compressing type and setting did you using for the driverpacks because i was wanting to create your sound driverpack again with your updated control panel cmd file. I've also created a modem driverpack myself but i've not stripped out any unecessary files. mebe i'll upload it on the web so people can download. g.
  23. You are not authorized to view this page , i get this error instead of the adverts on the license page. Any ideas ? g.
  24. I'm just wondering if theres a way to trigger setdevicepath.exe without a modified setup.exe. For instance when installing off hard disk via winpe using winnt32.exe unattended or with a syspreped image. Ideally I'd like to start it after using gosh's winnt32.exe /noreboot method and have all the drivers uncompressed on the same partition. tx, g.
  25. I got BSOD on a asrock k7s41 which is sis based. strangely enough i tried the same disk on a compaq deskpro en and it worked!
