This post will be a thank you. @harkaz For the pdb file to the Debug DLL to solve the Starter version puzzle, all @George King checks are in progress.
I think it's also because of win32k.sysYour pdb file will be the last option I think..

from these page: http://driverpacks.net/driverpacks/latest
i get several Driver Packs for Windows XP x86.
but they miss the 'Audio_Conexant_6.13.10.8335_XPx86': 'qta0066a.cat' and 'qta0066a.inf'.
is there any way for i create my own Driver Pack?
Have you tried the [Nightlies] version, but I don't know the driver pack build.

a few days ago @George King and I reviewed the Starter version of XP.
About unsupported status messages to turn it off.
Found in the xpsp2res.dll file.
I've been trying to fix winlogon.exe for many hours But it's not easy
and system audit
to welcome XP2ESDI'm not good at fixing DLLs and EXEs
Symptoms remain the same
Is there anyone who is more talented than me?

It doesn't help. Do you have a different version of drivers?
Only this version of the driver is left.

Thanks. I downloaded and extracted the drivers. When installing on XP X64 I get a bluescreen. And after restarting I get Error CODE 39. I also tried other drivers from this file but the same.
Have you tried any of these methods?

Thanks. This driver works on XP x64, just can't dim or brighten the screen. I am having trouble installing the RTL8723BE driver for the Wifi network card. It is only from 7X64 upwards and I need to download under XP X64.
You try to check here.

I used the R4 driver and it works like this. The laptop has R2 but R4 also accepts. Thank you very much for your help. Do you also have a file for X64?
Greetings
Have you tried this version yet? I only see x64 files for this version.

Just a quick update.
I swapped the portcls.sys file for the newer one.
It has not appeared to make any difference to anything, but everything still works fine, so I will leave it in place.
It seems that I originally installed KB888111 back in 2012.
It's possible it was offered by Windows Update, but it's not in the Add/Remove Programs list, and there's no uninstallation folder for it.
I'm thinking that it may have been included with the Realtek audio driver package.
It's not installed on my main desktop machine.
v3, I'll delete it.
portcls.sys 5566 and replaced it with the 5512.Same because it destroys the MS signature.
My programming skills are still not very good.
It's my first time programming.
Thanks for letting me know
KB950616

Try installing the file again if it breaks your machine's file signature.

Do I need to install your hotfix though if I already have the same HD audio driver files that are in it?
Are the ones in your hotfix updated even though they have the same date and file version?
This may be necessary when you reinstall Windows XP with SP3.
kb888111 I'm aware that the original patch doesn't work for SP3.
So I decided to do it.Hope you enjoy using Windows XP.

Now I have added some code from kb835221. for XPSP3 (update_SP3QFE.inf)
And fix update.ver bypassing portcls.sys file.

I am now comparing with kb835221 which hardware id under update.inf is missing which MS didn't add which I will add back.
belongs to PCI\VEN_8086&DEV_2668

Writing my inf file on KB888111 I have preserved the instructions MS wrote both by fixing the problematic part.

OK, so this isn't just a straightforward install of your KB888111 patch?
I saw that the newer portcls.sys file was in your package, but it doesn't get installed by the patch installer.
Does it just have to be copied across manually?
The hdaudbus.sys seems to be the same as the one I've already got, at least the version number is.
If this will cure the Realtek audio device not appearing that would be great, but is it just portcls.sys that actually needs to be changed?
It might be what you think is trying to copy the file by checking the file version as well. but skipping the file may have to delete the string (
I gave the file string because
For those who installed KB950616 before because I don't want to break the MS signing.
Portcls.sys I got from hotfix KB950616, you can install my hotfix first and KB950616.0 -
I have tested kb835221 installed first.

I tried installing this on XP SP3 x86 and nothing seemed to change.
My portcls.sys is 5.1.2600.1364.
My hdaudbus.sys and hdaudio.sys are both 5.10.1.5013.Is that right?
It looks like kb835221 is an older file than kb888111.

I changed the portcls.sys file to 5.1.2600.5566. You can try to find the file in the update folder, go to the update.ver file and try deleting the version string file.

patch winlogon.exe for Windows XP Starter to break unsupported message + restart ?
in Windows XP
Posted
The current state of the Starter version is the last way I will do it. Run the component on the normal version.
It seems to work fine.
For anyone who wants to use Starter components. on Pro and Home
1.Insert starter CD.
2.Copy startoc.in_ from CD i386 to desktop.Expend it to get startoc.inf with winrar.
3.Copy startoc.inf to %windir%\inf.
4.Run rundll32 advpack.dll,LaunchINFSection %windir%\inf\startoc.inf,Starter in cmd
5.When noticing lossing files,locate to CD:\CMPNENTS\STARTER\I386\STARTOC.CAB.
6.Reboot computer
