  1. Another simpler method that I've grabbed it before from the forums: put these lines in your main_batch.cmd: remember to put your software in the path as the syntax says (in bold)..
  2. I think you've collected enough votes now we're all intrested
  3. Úáíßã ÇáÓáÇã æÑÍãÉ Çááå æÈÑßÇÊå ßá ÚÇã æÇäÊ ÈÎíÑ æÑãÖÇä ßÑíã ok, got it now
  4. quite a long patch to do a small thing, miso I prefer: 1. make a folder called "hotfixes" under $OEM$/$1/install, and put the Q823718.exe in it 2. in the same folder you've created, make a file called: "Hotfixes.cmd" that containes these lines: 3. now add these lines to your WINNT.SIF under the GUIRunOnce section in order to run the batch: that's it..
  5. could you give some examples that what kind of programs don't work on Windows 2003 ? well, I think you mean Drivers, not Programs.. all programs that runs on XP should run smoothly on Win2003 as they both use win32, not like windows 98 & mellinnium that use win16 applications.. In my openion, The most irritating thing in windows 2003 is the driver support, but i think this problem should be overcomed the next few months..
  6. b0r3d I have succeeded in silently install the Longhorn transformation pack by using the "setup.exe /s" command, but the problem is that windows file protection prompts me during setup! though SFC is supposed to be disabled by the registry tweak: what more can i do to remove that SFC stupid message?
  7. visaversa unfortunately I'm trying to install Acrobat writer, not reader.. thanks anyway for your post
  8. I think IE6 is pretty enough for browsing, but if Microsoft reall will stop integrating it with windows and I'll have to purchase it, I'll sure make a second thought
  9. could you please write the link of the original post?

  14. yes, that will be a very good idea, I think that you'll have a feedback pretty soon. I'll wait with you.
  15. I have tried this syntax, but it didn't work! any suggestions?
  16. I've tried your way, but it didn't work out probably there's a slight difference between the MacOS theme and the Longhorn one.. any new ideas?
  17. also there's a couple of things that you can do in customizing your notepad.. I've read it before in the forums but i don't remember where exactly. you should search for registry tweaks & review the results
