I'm using Win Toolkit 1.4.37.20, I created two Windows 7 images, one x86 and one x64. I'm trying to merge the two images with the All-In-One Disk Creator, I'm choosing the two different install.wim files which are located: \desktop\merge\x64\sources\install.wim \desktop\merge\x86\sources\install.wim I see the two images, I press "Create", it does it's thing, then on the next screen I choose "Make ISO" and have the ISO image created. When I go to install I only see the x86 version. What am I doing wrong?

I found a website called driverpacks.net, which include all the drivers in a single 7z archive. There are many more drivers in these packs than the one I made, so I'm in the process of building an image to try these out.

My guess was that you had two different iso's and the x64 was volume media and the x86 was not. Not a problem, simple fix. FYI'd use the GVLK for installing/testing so that you don't waste your real activations until you are ready. Add it to your autounattend.xml http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/jj612867.aspx The GVLK solution is precisely what I needed, as I often fix client's PCs and they have their own keys. I have two Windows 8.1 Enterprise images, x86 and x64. I created custom images (integrated updates, tweaks, etc) for both. I used the same options for the Autounattend.xml, both which I did not check anything for the product key. I tested both images, x64 works fine, and gets to the screen showing your hard drives. The x86 is asking for a product key. I don't understand why if x64 didn't need one. I'm new to Windows 8 installations by the way, but not any previous versions of Windows.

I made two custom Windows 7 installations recently, x64 and x86. At the end of the process I told RT 7 Lite to make an ISO, but it never made it, so I just kept the install files, put them on a USB flash drive and it worked. I want to be able to make a bootable DVD disk for older systems that cannot boot from USB media. I tried taking all the files, using MagicISO to make an iso file, but it doesn't boot. Does anyone know how I can make a bootable DVD?

OK so I just made a Windows bootable installation that I've been wanting. Tweaked, all Windows updates until Nov 2013, USB 3.0 and ethernet drivers. I downloaded all the USB 3.0 drivers from all the controller manufacturers and integrated them into boot.wim: ASMedia_Compal_Win7_64_Z104220 Etron EJ198USB 3.0 Host Controller Driver Fresco Logic xHCI USB3.0-3.5.36 Intel®_USB_3.0_eXtensible_Host_Controller_Driver Renesas USB3.0 Host Controller Texas_Instruments_xHCI_Driver_v1.16.3_WHQL VIA_XHCI_Driver_V4.30A_AP Also added these ethernet drivers into install.wim: Broadcom Ethernet Controller - win_b57_x64-16.2.0.4b RealTek Ethernet Controller Driver - Win7 - 7.076 - 11222013 The Etron and Via drivers will .exe, so it was a major pain getting the .inf drivers from them, but I got them. I don't know why anyone has not gathered all the USB 3.0 drivers like I have and uploaded them somewhere for people to download. But if anyone wants this driver pack please let me know.

MagicAndre1981 thank you very much, that worked. Now the drivers in the link I provided DID NOT work, so what I did was integrate the USB 3.0 drivers for my specific motherboard, and that worked. So what I really need now is maybe a list of all the main USB 3.0 drivers for every motherboard's controller, so that regardless what system I install Windows on, it will have it's USB 3.0 drivers. If someone can point me in the right direction I would greatly appreciate it.

I'm using RT 7 Lite to tweak/remove/add/slipstream my USB Windows 7 x64 installation. I have searched and read to download THESE USB 3.0 drivers. I have integrated all of these drivers into my installation but it does not work. Does anyone know how to properly do this?

The i5-3570k also has HD 4000 graphics, no hyper threading but it quad-core. There is an $87 price difference between the two. My main focus is a quiet system/low power consumption and speed. Let's say I have an emulator running, MS word open, Excel, music playing (winamp), all at the same time. I want everything to be snappy. Is the i3 good for this? Hey guys. In Excel, I'm trying to change a lot of cells that have a format of #### ## into ####:## (add a colon). When I do that, on some of them, it's turning into something else. Here's an example: 0436 03 --> 0436:03 --> Excel then turns this into 436:03:00. Anyone know how to stop this so that I can just make it 0436:03?

I'm going to be building a HTPC soon. I need a motherboard that has onboard USB 3.0 so that I can connect the front USB ports of my case (I want USB 3.0 in the front, not 2.0). All the motherboards I find have USB 3.0 for the back ports, but the onboard is 2.0. Does anyone know of any models?

I just bought a 21.5" Acer H213H monitor. I purposely never installed a video card in my latest build because I did not want to hear the noisy fan, plus I really didn't need one anyway (I do emulation not PC gaming). So, my onboard video has ATI Radeon HD 3200. Problem is I'm running 1680x1050 resolution @ 60 hertz. Not looking very good, I need it to be able to go back to 75. So, I am going to buy a fanless video card. Question is will a MSI R4550-MD1GH Radeon HD 4550 1GB 64-bit GDDR3 PCI Express 2.0 x16 LINK do the job? I need to be sure that it will run that resolution at 75 hertz.

Well there was only one update that I have not installed. So I created the directory C:\Updates and input your command in the run command and it just blank, so I did it in CMD and got an error, "080070032, Error 50, The request is not supported, The DISM log file can be found at ..."

I have about 80 .msu files which are windows updates. Is there a way to merge them together into one executable file?

Just to let everyone know, the above instructions did exactly what I wanted them to do, which was to keep list view (or whatever view) in all folders without the folders/subfolders going back to those big clunky medium sized icons/thumbnails.

You're throwing me off about asking me why I want to do this. I want list view for every single file in the computer, except for pictures where I want icons (thumbnails). I DO NOT want the default detail view. Now I have not tried any solutions yet, nor have I ever really even used Vista for a long period of time. This is on my friend's computer that she just bought. Here is a solution that I found online: Open the Registry Editor and go to the following keys: [HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Classes\Local Settings\Software\Microsoft\Windows\Shell\Bags] [HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Classes\Local Settings\Software\Microsoft\Windows\Shell\BagMRU] Right-click on the Bags key in the left pane and select Delete, then do the same thing for BagMRU. This will remove most existing customizations for things like window sizes, positions and views. While still in the same place in the Registry Editor, you will need to manually recreate one of these keys with a new setting. Right-click on the following key in the left pane: [HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Classes\Local Settings\Software\Microsoft\Windows\Shell] Create a new key called Bags to replace the one you just deleted. Right-click on Bags, select New>Key and name this new key AllFolders. Right-click on AllFolders, select New>Key and name this new key Shell. The end result should look like this: [HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Classes\Local Settings\Software\Microsoft\ Windows\Shell\Bags\AllFolders\Shell] Now left-click on the last Shell key and in the right pane right-click in an empty area and select New>String Value. Name this new string FolderType and once created, double-click on it and in the Value Data box you can set the default view which all folders will initially take (unless otherwise specified) by entering one of the following values: NotSpecified, Contacts, Documents, Music, Pictures For example if you enter Documents in the FolderType Value Data box (which I recommend), then all folders for which you do not manually set a view will default to the standard Documents folder view as you set it. Now in Windows Explorer go to your \Users\[username]\ directory and for each of the main folder types under there (Documents, Pictures, Music, Videos), make sure that you set the view you wish, including things like choosing which columns to show and how wide they each are, the size of any icons/thumbnails, the way in which they are sorted, etc. As you make the changes, for each folder click the Organize button at the top of Windows Explorer, select 'Folder and Search Options', go to the View tab and click the 'Apply to Folders' button. This will set this view for all folders of that same type, and this method also means that should you copy files of any other type into a folder, it will not alter that folder's view settings - from now on the settings should remain exactly as you leave them. There's one more step which can help ensure these settings remain fixed. Go to the following key: [HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Classes\Local Settings\Software\Microsoft\Windows\Shell] Left-click on the Shell key and in the right pane, if you can see BagMRU Size then there is no need to undertake this step. If it isn't there however, right-click and select New>DWORD 32-bit Value and name it BagMRU Size. Set this value to 10000 in Decimal (or 2710 in Hexadecimal).
