@ blackwingcat Do we have a chance to get exFAT working on exkernel w2k? I tried to apply xp files and registry entries from 955704 but I failed. Not even "Raw" like on your blog. Greetings Joe

@commodore128d I fixed the broken link for Exkernel DEU DVD, should be OK now. Greetings

@ blackwingcat I found solution for tagging problem with wmp11. After wrapping wmp.dll with comctlXP.dll 6.0.2900.6030 the view is OK, works fine now. Greetings Joe

Link to HFSLIP *DEU* DVD: https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B4xT-Ijy4pErWnZrTWk3SHRaNEk/view?usp=sharing It will take long time to download. You do not need to combine cabs. Just expand HFSLIPMain.7z and put content of ORIGINAL W2k installation disk into SOURCE directory. In drivercab, add the drivers you need and delete drivers you don't need. If you put storage drivers into STORAGE, be careful to change storage.ini, too. A lot of drivers are yet inside, so perhaps you don't need to do it. You should examine HFGUIRUNONCE. A lot of additional progs there. If you are done, make iso DVD file by running hfslip-w2k.cmd. If possible, try it first on virtual machine. If OK, burn ISO and install. HFSLIP *DEU* DVD was made by me according to blackwingcats version 2016 DVD (not available in ENU), but without the browsers firefox and safari, I put k-meleon browser instead. There some known bugs - mmc-error. You have to load snap-ins into mmc directly and save it in 3.0, then all snap-ins are useable again, although mmc error message will persist. And Windows defender refuses to work in german environement (I use avast 8.0.1506 instead). Please note, I cannot offer support for this experimental version, but feel free to post your comments or suggestions here. Greetings Joe PS: "Viel Freude und gutes Gelingen"! If other people here want to try out german version, link is not restricted. Feel free to download. W2k will live forever!

@ commodore 128d: If you like I can provide you a link to experimental HFSLIP DEU extended w2k installation DVD kit. Tutorial is the same as for blackwingcats DVD - you find it with google "blackwingcat hfslip dvd". @ blackwingcat: I installed wmp11 from your website. It installed JPN, but hung up with genuine check. Then I replaced setup_wm.exe with DEU file, and installation succeeded. Afterwards, I replaced all JPN files 11.0.5721.5262 with german ones. Everything works fine now, but two errors: 1. On starting up, wmp11 complains about "old driver, which is unsupported on wmp". 2. Tagging problem: on clicking "album" wmp will show covers and title. But if I choose "option" -> "details", titles will show up like before with big distance, but covers between the titles go away. So, no alphabetic list. If I click on "artist", same. But If I want to show music titles, It will only show the track numbers with the same distance than with covers in between, no title, no artist, no track length. Perhaps you can tell easily, which files can be responsible for these errors. Greetings Joe

Last Versions of Software for Windows 2000
JosefReisinger replied to thirteenth's topic in Windows 2000/2003/NT4
Exact Audio Copy 2.9 (latest version) works on w2k extended kernel. It will show violation message on starting up, but after regsvr32 sql*.* files in program dir it works without error and provides accurate CD ripping "state of the art". Also flac encoding can be used with this program. Greetings Joe -
Hi. I sent you link for nvidia files which I used at google drive to your gmail acount december 28th, 2016. Email address is still valid? Greetings Joe

@ blackwingcat Did you get nvidia files? Another: I have a problem with bittorrent client 7.0. It should work on vanilla, but crashes with extended kernel, if I try to remove files from download queue. Perhaps you can help. I attach dmp file. Greetings Joe 21591-bittorrent.b435.dmp

I have uploaded all files on google drive. system32.7z are all nvidia binaries in winnt\system32. NVIDIA Corporation.7z is program files dir. It contains rebased nvoglnt.dll from 0x69500000 to 0x69490000. It seems to prevent seldom error of nvidia crash on booting windows 2000 (black or funny colored window after boot logo - happened one of 15 boot instances - after reset normal startup). List of rebased dll for DEU (does not matter for nvidia): msi.dll 7D1F0000 according to DEU old kb - this seems to reduce starting time and performance a little (5 sec from 1 min startup time with 8core AMD processor and 6GB SSD on M5A99FXProR2.0 - i am not that satisfied, it is very slow on startup with 32GB ram, but once started it is very fast). shdocvw.dll from 71700000 to 71000000. tcpmon.dll from 76A30000 to 76A40000. List of rebased dx dll: d3d9.dll 4B720000 d3d10_1.dll 71390000 d3d11.dll 65200000 gdiplus.dll 36400000 Greetings Joe

Hi. Should I send you all of them? Driver files I have from your webpage. cpl and nview files are from original nvidia DEU XP32 driver 347.88. Should I send you these? Greetings Joe

Sorry, I do not have english Version. I think bug with german Version is in wined3d, it references memory in 0x00000ff0, but there is nothing. Address of error is 0x64068577, and wind3d has base address 0x64040000.

I tried to execute regsvr32 to dx dll´s. I could not register one of them. Message: "XXX (file) was loaded, but the DllRegisterServer entry point was not found. DllRegisterServer may not be exported, or a corrupt version of XXX may be in memory. Consider using PView to detect and remove it." Greetings Joe

@ blackwingcat After nvcplui I wanted to get nview work with w2k. It refuses loading, although I added CLSIDs into registry. Did you try yet (I tried nview.dll and nvwdmcpl.dll v6.14.10.14160)? Next I examined dx files because of bug in german environment. I found that d3d10_1.dll (pref base 71480000), d3d11.dll (pref base 65140000), nvoglnt.dll (from nvidia driver 6.14.13.4788, pref base 69500000) and msi.dll (pref base 7D1E0000) will not load there and are rebased by system without message. Do you consider it necessary to rebase them? Greetings Joe

Yes, I found out yet I had to add huge amounts of CLSID´s for DisplayServer.XXX.1, GameServer.xxx.1 and Video_TVServer.xxx.1 to registry. Then, nvcplui.exe will load without userXP.dll. Also, userXP.dll is bad with nvcplui.exe. It prevents to load nvcpluir.dll, nvapi.dll... (0xC0000005). But, nvcplui.exe without comctlXP.dll will cause nvcplui.exe-shell "flickering" on my system, also explorer in the background will start flickering. With comctlXP it is quiet. There are a little scripting bugs left. Also, view will not update if I click around, so there is mismatch of views (see second picture in attachment). Adjustments are working OK, as I can see so far. It is also possible to set resolution without problems Greetings nvidia.doc

Thx!!! I tried nvcplui.exe with Kernel v2.8i. It seems to be more tricky. Now, problem ntdll.dll: "RtlActivateActivationContextUnsafeFast" in ntdll.dll not found. ntdll.dll is loaded from userXP.dll in this case. So I forced userXP.dll to use 2kdll.dll => dependency problem is gone (controlled with dependency walker). But now: Application could not initiate (0xC0000005). Perhaps it needs more registry tricks. I have to look into this deeper. Greetings Joe

@blackwingcat Did you research EXKDXCNF with d3d9.dll and kmeleon browser d3d11 yet? Another question: I have nvidia driver 347.88 installed. Nvidia Settings from this driver work with taskbar utility after doing some registry tweaks. But I cannot get nvcplui.exe 8.1.800 working. Orininal driver shows error without message. I tried to use comctlXP.dll, then it will load but exit after a few seconds without error message. Also, nvcplui.exe 7.6.750 (patched) will show same. Nvapi.dll is new dependency for nvcplui.exe v347.88 not present in v335.28 (I got control panel software from your homepage). I also tried userXP.dll with nvcplui.exe 8.1.800. It will load, but then it wants function "GdiGetBitmapBitsSize" from gdi32.dll. Could you have a look on the file? It comes from XP32 original driver 347.88 control panel software (NvCplSetupInt.exe, dated 13.03.2015) Greetings Joe

Web plugin from version 10 and 11 will not work with windows 2000 (extended kernel). It will show only download bar and then do nothing. But - good news - web plugin from Reader 9.5. fully supports Reader 11.0. Path is %Programfiles%\Adobe\Reader 11.0\Reader\AIR Files are nppdf32.dll and nppdf32.XXX (language). Simply overwrite the v11-files with version 9.5.0.270.

Hi commodore128d. I have uploaded exkernel files DEU v28hG for you and everyone who wants to try it out. https://drive.google.com/open?id=0B4xT-Ijy4pErYlBDTm9RUWgwQ28 I did not make an installer, so you should install bwc exkernel ENU first and then replace the files with DEU from ZIP archive. Greetings from Austria Joe

Here is log file (txt). It seems to be only mpr problem which is usual and seldom made fault so far with programs. usbaudio.sys (XP) is fully working with skype and logitech webcam software 2.51 (HD Webcam C615 on USB3.0 - it uses usbaudio.sys) on exkernel w2k. But I had some problems with bluetooth audio speaker BOSE and macbook pro on w2k. I don´t remember if usbaudio.sys was involved, I research again. Another question: why did you remove cryptdlg.dll from new exkernel dvd image HFEXPERT\SYSTEM32 and \drivercab? I cannot understand because it is present in exkernel. I also found you got back to hid.dll 5.0.2195. Can you explain? k-meleon.txt

@ blackwingcat I attach dxdiag file, perhaps you can have a look on it. Greetings Joe DxDiag.txt

@blackwingcat I apologize, but I controlled with process explorer: Find handle-dll -> d3d9.dll -> 0 matching items. Then EXKDXCNF.exe -> dx9extension -> klick "enabled" -> Error "Fail to execute the process [rplbfile.exe]" -> OK -> Error "Fail to write D3D9.DLL Terminate these programs which access to it (...)". Changing registry version shows no error. I also tried after reboot. I also did some experiments with changing registry version and k-meleon 76A / d3d11.dll. It does not matter which registry version is used. I can avoid error only if I rename or delete d3d11.dll. @Dibya I have Geforce GTX 960 with blackwingcats driver 347.88. It should be capable of opengl 2.0 and dx10, I think.

@blackwingcat DXGI Error of K-meleon 76A is gone after renaming / deleting d3d11.dll from system32. It will load d3d9.dll instead. Now, same problem with black browser window when using v5.3.2195.5514. Part of the problem could be that EXKDXCNF.exe does not work correctly with german w2k. Error message rplbfile and second error message "d3d9 cannot be written to" will pop up even when d3d9.dll is NOT used by browser or another process (I controlled with processexplorer). Problem with different bases or location? I simply copied content of dx folder from extracted exkernel kb into system32. Greetings Joe

Thx, error is gone. Another: Some time ago I posted troubles with new d3d9.dll / ati graphics with k-meleon while dxdiag shows no error. Short after start k-meleon homepage turns black without error message. You responded it could be problem with ati while nvidia has no problem. I´ve got the same result with nvidia gtx970. d3d9.dll v5.4.2195.5513 works. v5.3.2195.5514 => k-meleon screen turns black after a few seconds. Window itself with menu items stay visible. I also tried with k-meleon portable 76A beta. Fortunally, now there is error message DXGI: 0xffbadd11 references 0xffbadd11, operation "read". I attach drwatson file. Note: I had to rebase d3d9.dll to 0x4B720000, original 4B660000 will load at different address than base address. d3d9_drwatson.txt

@blackwingcat Hi. I localized enu exkernel 28hG. I have error starting k-meleon with kernel v7253 similar to the error I reported may01, 2016. Now, 0x77ec720a references 0x7c5c5550, and "read" could not be done. See log file. Last time, it was easy for you :-) Greetings Joe drwatson.txt

I changed cmdide (and also toside and viaide) and udpspapi.dll enu/deu. takeown.exe is multilingual enu/ja. ime files are ALWAYS japanese, aren´t they? (I looked into DEU source w2k installation disk and also in Windows2000-kb820199-x86-DEU.exe). I never had japanese ntdll.dll on my computer, so I wonder how it slipped into the iso. I solved the problem with missing SP3 of .net 1.0, and also added german language packs for .net 1.1, 2.0 and 3.5. I also added acrobat reader, bullzip pdf printer and some other stuff. No errors left, only windows defender error. I found discussion on the internet, that a user name and profile is missing in german environment which is present by default in ENU, but no details about it. Can you look into permissions in ENU w2k and tell me which user is used by defender? I will upload DEU iso on google drive again so you can use it for further examination.
