  1. I'm currently having the same problem on this installation, but it was made with an older version of nLite (1.0.1 IIRC).. when nuhi releases 1.2 (he's said it's coming Monday) I'm going to reformat, and I'll let you know if I still have the same problem.
  2. Awesome, it's working for me too now.. wasn't sure it was a problem with your installer or I would've reported it before (though I didn't know of the fix for it, thanks Sereby!) Great installer, thanks for the hard work!
  3. Well, if nLite works correctly with the Last Session.ini then nuhi probably just changed how nLite writes and parses said file, and it's not a bug. (however, leaving the other section named Services2 might be confusing) When do you get that error message though?
  4. That doesn't seem like a very helpful reply. So far as I know your IDE Bus controller should be listed under IDE ATA/ATAPI controllers in the Device Manager.. but if all you see listed is Intel, then logically that's what you'd have. Which Bus driver you have is dependant on your motherboard's chipset; for instance, my ASRock Dual-SATAII motherboard is based on ULi's 1595 chipset; hence my ALi IDE bus controller.
  5. Actually, it -is- possible: http://www.ryanvm.net/forum/viewtopic.php?t=2249 Still not nLite's fault that the easy way fails though.
  6. With inf addons, the inf tells windows what to do to install whatever software you're integrating - with switchless installers you have to put it in a batch file (or something similar). I never could figure out how to concequently make switchless installers, but I'm quite familiar with the inf file structure now, so I just use that. Also 'true' addon packs, that is inf + cab ones, are thought to be cleaner. I'm not sure why, except that I think switchless installers sometimes create temporary files in obscure folders that they don't delete afterwards. On the other hand, switchless installers tend to be smaller than inf addons because cab compression isn't all that great. By the way, I think inf coders are generally at guru level in that they could integrate their packs without nLite's or Siginet's Integrator's help without too much trouble; me, though, I'm too lazy
  7. Could you add INF Coder (one who makes addons by writing INFs and using cabs rather than switchless installers) and something like All-Round Coder (one who can do both)? I would vote INF Coder for myself, by the way.
  8. I think (though I'm by no means an expert) that you'd have to integrate whatever alternative web browser you use with the functions in the OS that IE normally handles. For instance, when I try to install PSP X with IE Core taken out, Firefox will open with an error message saying that it doesn't recognise a certain something, so can't open it (don't remember exactly what). If I close Firefox, only a white screen will be left in the installer... Another example of different behaviour is PerfectDisk's welcome screen. With the IE Core taken out and using Firefox, a new window will pop up with the welcome screen in it (one that requires WMP codecs to be installed, though I don't -see- a difference if they aren't, but you get an error message) instead of it appearing embedded in PerfectDisk.
