  1. Yeah, okay, but still I prefer to keep them (for being on the safe side). Also I might use my CD on others mainboards.
  2. http://www.tcmagazine.info/modules.php?mod...ion=show&id=299 this is a program to modify your USB refreshrate to up to 1000Hz. does anyone know how to silenty do this (wether by a tweak or a silent method to run this prog)?
  3. I see that your using OemPnpDriversPath, maybe that one of your drivers get configurised at the first boot of windows, and need a restart...
  4. @hp38guser: What is my post got to do with this thread? I'm sorry I think you overlooked something! My thread was about the question wether you need to include subdirs or not (and you do have to)! This thread is about the fact that you only need 2 files to integrate the VIA hyperion drivers in WinXP SP2. And you DO need to include the whole subdir!
  5. @hp38guser: I'm sorry it really doens't work! Obviously you don't have to include the subfolder if they are mentioned in the INF's, but that's not the question here... I didn't intent to modify inf files! @larciel As I said it didn't work for me! You need specify each folder in you OemPnpDriverPath which contains an INF-file!
  6. @prathapml Now it did work! This time I didn't delete the PreNRM folder! Which YOU said I could delete (in this post). Well, nevermind! Thanks anyway!
  7. I have a strange problem with my integrated nforce drivers! I just reïnstalled my computer, and my network drivers aren't installed! Everything else of my NFORCE2-board does work (such as sound/IDE). What's even weirder is that I suddenly seem to have a connection to an IEEE1394 400Mbs (firewire) network, which I normally do not have. I never had anything in my firewire port! All this is Only because I integrated my nforce drivers in my unattended installations! I used the OEMPNPDRIVERPATH method! If I try to install the drivers afterwards, by letting windows search in the nvidia\ethernet directory... windows doesn't detect them! Maybe somebody can tell me exactly how you did it? So what directory names you used, where you put what etcetera! I have a EPOX 8rda+ with newest bios. The nforce drivers arethe 5.10 package WHQL. (XP)
  8. If your system administrator disabled CMD.EXE (for example at school), but you still want to use a command prompt, simply create a new cmd-file and copy paste this in it: @echo off :loop set /p runthis=%CD%^> %runthis% goto loop Execute this file and have exact the same functionality as the original CMD.EXE! Have fun!
  9. Add this line to the GuiUnattended section: WaitForReboot=No
  10. @Inonit I added your site to the startpost! Ofcourse I don't mind
  11. @hp38guser what are you using to increase the refreshrate?
  12. How could Maxthon possible be safer then IE? It uses the same engine!
  13. So you're saying that specifying OemPnPDriversPath=Drivers should be enough?
  14. Just look at my quote (or the actual deployment guide), it really says: Setup adds: ...%SystemDrive% blablabla ... and the path for each subfolder that Plug and Play needs.....
  15. According to the Deployment Guide of XP SP2 you don't need to specify each subfolder in the drivers path: Why does the unattended guide states that setup DOESN'T scan for INF's in subfolders?
  16. Actually.. when I said I was going to update my startpost to maintain a list of all programs... I was lying! This is waaay to much work! Just let everybody read the entire thread! Keep up the good progams though
  17. This is an option, and of course you don't have to reinstall applications nor reregister Windows, provided that you create an exact image of the partition where you installed Windows. But there are a few disadvantages: - You can only use this image on one computer, or you should have another computer with the EXACT same hardware! - With each program-update or configuration change you need to re-create your image! It's not flexible in the least!
  18. I just want to create GUIs for my batch files. The Wizards Apprentice is just what I need! Thanks everybody for the replies! (However I do want to learn VBscript, to see what I can achieve with that!)
  19. It's not funny unattended? I bet you mean fully cause unattended installations are never funny! If you want to use FDISK prior to setup you have to boot a MSDOS bootdisk. So you should either use the partitioning options in winnt.sif, or create a bootdisk with automated fdisk commands and thén use the Installation cd/dvd.
  20. Sometimes it's just better to remake your winnt.sif file. Just use the "setup manager" of the XP SP2 tools. Directly test your file and then you could add other things to it (manually)..
  21. Here's a list of most "stand-alone" programs mentioned here. Great work INONIT! Hi, which programs you use which don't need to be installed? Also, how do integrate them in your unattended installation? DUREX diserves credit for his "Stand Alone" applications thread from where I gotten the idea. But I thougt there might be more interest for such a thread in the unattended section. Also, I'm willing to update this startpost once and every while to keep an up-to-date list of all programs. So please only post additions/corrections to keep this thread as maintainable as possible. I'll begin by listing my "out-of-the-box" programs: AccessEnum - Quickly view all insecure permissions settings Autoruns - View which files run at startup CDImage - ISO creator Diskview - View where a file is scattered over a drive FileMon - Realtime file monitoring Hexplorer - Really good hexeditor, can even edits Disk sectors. Hijackthis - Merijn's anti spy-ware tool Metapad - Notepad replacement mouserate - Check your mouse refreshrate in Hz netscan - Quickly view all hosts on a network pci32 - View PCI devices with information procexp - Proces Explorer - Very enhanced Proces viewer putty - SSH / Telnet client RegMon - Monitor registry changes/accesses at realtime ResHacker - Change resources in executables and dll's Restoration - Restore deleted files Rw - Remote Wake-up Utility Sniffer - IP tools (network sniffer / prober / monitoring) vcswap - Enable/Disable installed codecs I integrate these programs by simply unrarring a rar-file (which contains them all) them to %SystemDrive%\Tools en creating a shortcut in the quicklaunch to this folder. Addition: Only free programs please!
