  1. hp38guser it looks like your card reader is "Bulk Only" device, try to add the next strings into the end of appropriate sections of usbstor.inf: [Microsoft] %USB\VID_0DDA&PID_2027.DeviceDesc%=USBSTOR_BULK, USB\VID_0DDA&PID_2027 [Strings] USB\VID_0DDA&PID_2027.DeviceDesc="USB 2.0 card reader DEMO board with Generic brand name (MaskROM version)" Be sure U have uninstalled original card-reader drivers. Try reboot and check how it works. Of course all the rest hardware in your inf can use another protocols and should be tested also.
  2. good idea, but it should be tested before, from that inf i can't understand what type of devices is described in - BulkOnly, CB or CBI and what protocol is used. to describe it in inf i need CompatibleIDs values for each device from the inf U've provided, something like that: DeviceDesc = USB Mass Storage Device HardwareID = USB\Vid_0ea0&Pid_2118&Rev_0200 CompatibleIDs = USB\Class_08&SubClass_06&Prot_50 It can be found in USB Section of Your Windows registry. and, perhaps, some addon info
  3. try it - in the most cases it works, of course if U have installed English Win98SE
  4. Petr i think U've tried to correct registry like in WinMe... some questions: 1. have U tried to install NUSB on fresh install of win98se without any SP? 2. have U installed NUSB in a system with previously installed original Mitsumi usb drivers or any other USB drivers? In any case any other drivers should be removed before install NUSB, and, of course it's very important to clear registry (USBSTOR and USB sections), especially if NUSB1.0-1.3 was installed before. ... and ... i have a dream to touch it with my hands very strange situation
  5. Petr bad news have U compared registry info from WinSE and WinXP for Mitsumi?
  6. Petr it's a really strange problem - Mitsumi USB Floppy with id VID_03EE&PID_6901 - it should be supported. All info from the registry provided here is quite correct. Have U Disktsd.vxd ver. 4.10.2223 installed? If not - try this one, if so and it does not working, try to replace it with WinME version. Unfortunately i don't have Mitsumi USB Floppy to check this one by myself...
  7. is it works in another WinOS (ME/2K/XP/2K3) without any addon driver? in order to make it working i need the next info from any other OS where it works: 1. Run regedit. 2. Export into reg-files the next brunches from the registry (XP/2K/2K3): HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Enum\USBSTOR HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Enum\USB 3. Zip regs and send 'em here
  8. It looks like U're right - I've checked up English, Russian and German sysdm.cpl ver.4.10.2222 and all of 'em have 36 (hex) at the offsets: English - 3E170 and 3E1B9 Russian - 4F4D5 and 4F51F German - 4F5C9 and 4F612 Agreed - "It should be probably changed too." But this time i don't know what does it means - some times later i'll test it. Thanks addon i've changed 36(hex) to B6(hex), but i've not found any differences in "Virtual memory settings" dialog box, Maximum and Minimum settings...
  9. why do not use aspinit.exe UNINSTALL command? In any case It works great!
  10. If U don't have any problems with Your internet browsers - no need to uninstall it - keep it as is
  11. 1. install USB2.0 support for Your PC 2. install NUSB2.1 drivers if it will be not working, in this case try to install Your original Mobo drivers
  12. in some cases U can get a BSOD, it is highly recommended if U have installed prior version of NUSB (1.0-1.3), and, of course, few drivers intended for same device, can conflict among themselves
  13. it contains some language specific exe, dll and hlp files: USER.EXE,SYSTRAY.EXE,QFECHECK.EXE,HOTPLUG.DLL,ADVPACK.DLL,HARDWARE.HLP,QFECHECK.HLP and of course all of 'em are having the last file versions. that means if U'll install uSP2.x(Your language version) and NUSB2.x in order below, U'll have a good results: 1. NUSB2.x English 2. uSP2.x Your language version (it will prompt to replace the English files with the same ones in Your language version) Any other case: store mentioned files before install NUSB and restore 'em later. Be sure Your stored files have the same (or later) versions.
  14. do not use this one with Win98SE if U're using Opera, FireFox or MyIE
  15. unfortunately some English files can't be used for the translation to Asian Languages (like Korean, Japanese and so on...)
  16. Yes - it' so easy! and keyb.com can be made in one minute (much thanks for new one) - simple clip from the offset 00004760 up to the end of old your language version file, resizing new file to the size of old your one + 16Bytes, and paste clipped data to the new one from the offset 00004770 - thats all
  17. hp38guser what's the latest build of keyb.com? i have the only one from 02 march 2000.
  18. swgreed vxd/386-drivers are "Linear Executable" files and i don't know resource-editors for this type of files. Here can be used only any hex editor + own experience and knowledges.
  19. swgreed it looks like English and Japanese only versions of this vxd are existing of course i've made the Russian one too...
  20. sybesma look at the end of the first string of bonackers post that means it should work with NUSB i have mentioned in post 2
  21. bonacker ufd.sys works with only the limited range of USB Flash drives if You have an English version of Win98SE - try NUSB driver from this topic http://www.msfn.org/board/index.php?showtopic=38695 i think it should solve Your problem
  22. swgreed have You vpowerd.vxd 4.10.2225 German version? I need this one
  23. swgreed HSI korean kernel32.dll - it's also ready - check Your mail but it doesn't working in double-byte OS
  24. German version of KERNEL32.DLL 4.10.2224 is made Check a post. Korean version is under developing - unfortunately i can't imagine as it should look (korean symbols). However I think, that I'll find a way
  25. and one more question 'bout winboot.sys i can't find in Russian Win98GE (first, Gold Edition) and Win98SE noone localized winboot.sys - only English ones Are U sure it exists in Your Language? HSI I know this article, however Russian hotfix contains an English version winboot.sys, as well as an original winboot.sys in Russian Win98SE is also English
