hes never had it happen and it doesnt even get me to the menu to reformat it should i securely erase my whole HD using Partition Magic? i dont want to be left with an expensive paperweight

it says it is, but when i choose to load win 2k3 on the OS selection, it sits @ the blue screen

I tried to install Longhorn (dad works for MS), (seriously). It did the same **** thing, so I said screw it and left it on there. Then I installed Win 2k3 and it bumped LH off the list and Win 2k3 replaced it.

I'm fed up with XP and I'm moving to 2k3, require assistance. Won't let me do it via the setup disk that 2k3 is on, so should I Delete and secure erase through Partition Magic? Regards
