yeh some of his tweaks had a bad effect on my connection i drop people from games i host like flys

sorry to say this gamehead, but that commit change is worse than an nlited xp, with 16 bit color vs 32bit color and a little bit of changes to services.msc with themes on, well atleast thats what i found with the last nlite i just did, i guess using minlogon, could of saved me 1mb mabye 2 tops :-( , which would be 27MB commit change

so whats the word on memory usage in your current project agesis? commit change to be exact

if i dont use themes im at 24MB commit change in a seperate project , you think we could find more stuff to remove?

im using this program called xp system builder, it uses the xp embedded database to remove more compents from an xp install before you install windows, i know this is off topic, but, maybe there are more things you can remove? i have 29MB commit change, with themes and well everything needed for games, and 32 bit colour im not gonna post links here to this off topic thing, cause it wouldn't be fair. if you think it could help, just pm me

well i personally would like to see one of the things on the list alternative file system one that does fragment preferably, i was successful at booting your first project, in vmware would love to see what you have in store for us next

wish we could get better than 27 commit change, as i can do 35 with themes , with the other method that i wont mention here, cause it would be off topic. A new file system will be sweet, if my games could still install, i heard the linux ext2 file system is good but question is, will it still need to be defragmented being windows? or would this make it not need a defragmenter like linux

well i could never get it to work, even following these steps i guess if minlogon was installed before hand it will just result in it not working? or is it xp home oem doing this? i get it to boot, but its just a blue screen never loads into windows or anything

i'm just curious, how am I supposed to apply the reg file to a windows not booted yet this batch file makes me a new system32 folder so i figured i could make a copy of the rest of the needed stuff and boot to a new folder/windows with this edited system32 folder well thing is, without applying the reg tweak, i cannot boot this new windows without lots of errors if i apply this reg tweak to a windows, that has the logon screen, without changing the system32 folder, it doesn't boot for me anymore

how do i apply a regestry file to a windows w/o being in it?
