Hotfixes For Windows XP Professional SP1
killerbee replied to Aaron's topic in Unattended Windows 2000/XP/2003
hi, a new hotfix is available KB832353 it's an update for 828026. MS has the following to say about it: After applying the hotfix referenced in KB article 828026, some URL script commands do not fire even though they would be expected to do so. In addition to the URL script command issues, this package addresses an issue with the installer that would cause 100% CPU utilization in certain scenarios. it looks like a Type 1 Hotfix have phun with it cya Killer Bee -

hi, u could try ur CD in VMWare to decrease the number of CD's u burn with unfinished versions cya Killer Bee
-
hi, no problem cya Killer Bee

hi, this sounds like corrupted files. But tracking the source can get tricky. 1. it could be that the files in ur XPCD source are corrupted 2. it could get corrupted while building the ISO 3. ur PC is corrupted in some way (RAM, CPU, ...) To test it out i would recommend first installing that CD in VMWare, if it won't work either rebuild the ISO and retest it in VMWare. If this fails then copy over those files from ur original CD and rebuid and test it. If it only happens on one PC and only when u install it there then check ur Memory. Hope this helps a bit cya Killer Bee

hi, u could try this to get basic info out of the installer and post it here so we can see which installer this app uses. cya Killer Bee
