  1. Thanks but i remembered how to tell, the volume label gives you details about the media, ta anyway.
  2. I have a copy of Windows XP Professional, i'm currently running Windows 2000 Professional. I do not want to upgrade to Windows XP Professional if activation is required. I was curious how you tell whether your copy has the volume license database on cd or the individual database. Reason being i'm not going to install it standard, i'm going to put a lot of time and effort into creating a slipstream/streamline installation that i plan to make as user-interaction free as possible, hence not requiring to activate XP would be a benefit. Can anyone tell me a way of identifying whether or not i have a Volume License CD key and whether the media has as much to do with activiation being required as the CD key you enter. Thanks.
  3. So to summarise, what changes do i need to make so that only the Computer Name & Admin Password Screen are shown?
  4. FireFox is installed auto-matically during installation but it is not set as the default browser and even when i use a program some of you may be familiar with called WinOptimizer to set it all .htm and .html files associated with the firefox.exe in programs like mIRC and Thunderbird when i click URLs it still opens IE, any ideas?
  5. Thanks for the responses guys, i'll try removing that regtweak and replacing it with the one you posted.
  6. I cannot explain it, one day i'd made a few modifications to my unattend install and from that point onward it's always installed and defaulted to the windows classic menu (not the theme, just the menu) i've asked on here before posting my winnt.sif and regtweaks for those "in-the-know" to have a quick browse to see if they can spot anything that could be the cause but got what would be best described as a quiet response. I've posted both my winnt.sif and regtweaks below again and would appreciate it if someone could help me get to the bottom of this! Thanks Registry Tweaks winnt.sif
  7. no it does come out black, and i takes ages to change back to a default scheme as all buttons and menus are black so you have to guess what is where. When i install Style XP everything is how it's supposed to be and all my installed themes are listed without directory structure changes being needed.
  8. No, i want a custom uxtheme.dll so i can add all my custom themes, but as said when i load my custom themes they appear as mainly black without any graphics in the preview panel.
  9. Once my installation is complete and i install some of my themes all i get in the preview panel is mainly black where the graphics would be, this stops me clicking apply in the fear that i wont be able navigate back to unapply it as all buttons/titles bars etc are black. Pretty sure i have the latest version and i followed the guide that was part of the thread when the newest version was announced but to be sure where can i find the latest version and if the unattended websites installation instructions are out of date where can i find an updated version.
  10. Those of you who are familiar with FireFox will also be familiar with Thunderbird the accompanying e-mail client. I searched the forums for 'thunderbird' but recieved no results. If someone who's already successfully added it to their unattended installation could respond explaining how that would be great, alternatively for those of you out there that like a challenge you can download it here and have a go, as it has no install.exe i'm guessing that you could probably copy it in it's entirity to a location of your choice but then there's remembering to run thunderbird.exe so a second-boot execution method would be nice. Thanks.
  11. Nothing that i can remember changing to cause it but after the installation is complete the menu is windows classic style (98 etc). Here are my registry tweaks, can someone point out the one that's causing this: And here is my winnt.sif Thanks.
  12. I disabled file protection using the method outlined on the official unattend site, i guess that means i don't need to do the above?
