Would anyone care to make a guide of how to make an UA installer of language independant iTunes 6 without QuickTime 7.0.3, please? Why not including QuickTime? -So QT can be installed without having to install iTunes, and for those of you that simply likes to use QT alt.

Im a little confused here by all the posts, so excuse me for asking, but please help me out I downloaded the latest iTunesSetup.exe from www.apple.no as I want the Norwegian iTunes 6. I'd like an iTunes installer (v6) with no quicktime, so i unpacked iTunesSetup.exe using WinRAR and simply removed QuickTimeInstaller.exe and made an SFX archive (exe) with the following comment Setup=iTunesSetup.exe /S /V"SILENT_INSTALL=1 INSTALL_DESKTOP_SHORTCUTS=0 ASSUME_QT_DEFAULTS=0 ASSUME_MEDIA_DEFAULTS=1 ALLUSERS=1" /w" TempMode Silent=1 Overwrite=1 Then AFTER installing the latest QuickTime (7.0.3) i installed iTunes with my newly created exe with no errors UNTIL i launched iTunes. I then get the message (translated from .no): Warning! Register settings used by the iTunes-driver for import and burning CD & DVD discs are missing. (...) Reinstall iTunes. What did I do wrong, please?

I don't really know what CyberLink DVD Solutions is, but it most likly works the same way. Look for a Custom.ini file from your install folder! If it exists add Silent=1 to it and try run the installer. It should install completly silent. For single install of Power DVD 6, I included; Power DVD6, Update Patch, Language Pack, registration info and settings in ONE single silent .exe file using WinRaR SFX. Using this exe Power DVD gets silently installed, updated and configured as I want it.

Adding Silent=1 to Custom.ini makes the Setup.exe run silently with no switches.

I have found no silent switches for the apps or autorun exe and autoit does not work. For some reason autoit crash the installer gui... Kinda annoying thta the printer driver and apps are the only thing i need to manually install after win setup.

I use the Microsoft Malicious Software Removal Tool, but it's annoying to have to change the value each time i write my UA DVD to a DVD with the updated version. Is there a way to disable MRT to show up on updates without using this method?

Good idea. Do you have a link for a .mst guide? All I can figure out with office is that you need a resource kit for the app to make a mst?

How about editing the Nero 7 Premium\Redist\Config\ conf file? At the top of this file you can INCLUDE or EXCLUDE. Woulod just putting EXCLUDE after components in this file install only the things you want?
