[Network and Sharing Controle Panel not open]

I remove Diagnostics and Offline files in my x64 Vista Ultimate SP1, and I never had problems with the network and sharing center. Perhaps it's caused by slipstreamed SP1? I use preintegrated iso. (Even without SP1 I never had problems like this.)

I attached my .ini as well, perhaps it helps.

Error: You are not able to enter the TuneUp options page. TuneUp just quits if you want to open the options and Task Scheduler isn't present.

First of all, thank you for the new vLite. More components just rock!

Now like Sereby already told you: If I remove the service "Windows Event Log", my Avira AntiVir 8 Guard is not going to open. If I say the program to start it, it just hangs for some seconds and does nothing. I just did a second install now and kept the Event Log, and the AntiVir Guard now works fine.

Just wanted to let you know, because as it seems Sereby is already sleeping.

Perhaps somebody can confirm that.

I think it's not a bug. Just don't remove Game Explorer if you install and play games that need it. This is what I do.

Yes, I noticed that, too. If you re-enable UAC after having it removed, you can not launch any commands or programs, that UAC normally asks for if you really want to continue. There is no UAC-message, but no action as well. But I think when you remove UAC, you should know what you do and NEVER re-enable it again.

Okay, seems as if you are right nuhi. I used the same setting, but kept UAC this time. Now switching the setting in network an sharing center works for me!

(What does not work, is the "Disable UAC Tweak", but this was already mentioned. )

I just tried with vLite 1.1 RC some minutes ago and MPE installs fine. Only thing that I installed before was Java, but that should not be a dependency. I even removed more components.

[Office 2007 SP1 Released]

I "integrated" the SP1 like all the other updates into Office 2007. I downloaded the .exe file, extracted it with "/extract" and then I got 8 .msp files (for german Full SP1). I placed these .msp files into the "Updates" folder inside the Office 2007 installation directory and when setup launches, it automatically installs SP1 at the end of the install for me.

I just wanted to say THANK YOU Acheron!!! The SDK is really nice. I got my german Lite Installer @ 26 MB now (29 MB before), 1 MB was the new InnoSetup Compression and the other 2 MB seem to be caused by the micromized files. Everything works! Very nice work!

Yes, it is not easy. The best is to install it attended, I think. With the Creative Installer, I had no sucess, too.

But perhaps AutoIt can solve the problem?

I now integrate my X-Fi driver with vLite, install the Console Launcher with an AutoIt Script on first Logon (WPI) and then I install ALchemy and the THX-Console. I made my own german InnoSetup for these 2 components, because the original Installers only got tons of crap that I do not need.
