  1. Changed out the Drivers to v5.10, and still have the same issue on my Abit NF2 motherboard (yet it doesn't seem to have problems on Intel Chipsets). Guess I will continue to use the older v5.05 which worked on my NF2 motherboard.
  2. Well, it looks like another person is suffering the same problem I've been having (NF2 chipset as well). Currently I am about to replace the chipset drivers that come with the Driverpacks with build 5.10 (WHQL from nVidia) and see if this fixes my problem. I will report back if it works.
  3. Actually the problems I've encountered ARE caused by the DriverPacks. Here is how I tested. Used a New WindowsXP CD with Integrated Service Pack 2. Ran the latest packs (v5.10.1base, and all the latest packs). Installed this new CD on 4 different machines (two Intel - 955 and an older 875p ) and (two nVidia - Abit NF2 and Asus NF3), using both Method 1 and Method 2. On all 8 tests, all 4 using the NForce chipsets encountered the problems I've described. So it appears whatever drivers and/or changes you've made to the nForce drivers from the 5.07 builds to new v5.10.1 is what is causing the problems.
  4. Bunch of problems I've encountered with this release (since 5.08.1 to the latest 5.10.1). Guess I will list them in order. Just for reference, I have a clean CD with WinXP with SP2 integrated. I've installed Ryan's updated pack (v1.3.1) as well (first of course before doing the Driverpacks). 1. During Windows Setup, at the "Setup will complete in approx 33 minutes" The screen jumps from its current size (probably 640x480), to a much larger size (1280x1024 I'm guessing). I'm not sure why this change happens, but I do have 1280x1024 set in the Winnt.sif file as the default screen size. 2. Toward the end of Windows Setup (usually around 12 minutes left), I have a Prompt that happens asking for a username (useracc.exe program used), and it playes music (using UaMusic.cmd from a forum member created script). With the above mentioned Driverpacks, neither of these works now. I can live without them, but this was the second sign of problems. 3. After Windows is done installing, the system reboots, and instead of bringing up Runonceex.cmd and installing all my apps and registry tweaks, it goes directly to the login prompt, which I can login using the password set for the administrator account in winnt.sif, and once in Windows (with the screen res of 640x480 no less), stuff is missing in Windows. For example, there is no IE on the desktop or in the Start Menu. If you try to run IE, it isn't associated with any program. Now I have tried various things to correct this and make sure it wasn't something else I did. First I thought It might be something wrong with Ryan's pack. I read about some problems in his forum about missing files in the C:\WINDOWS\system32\wbem folder. The post was a person who also used the Driverpacks. Sure enough I checked, and I was indead missing all kinds of files in this folder. So next, I tried again with a fresh copy of WindowsXP with SP2 integrated, and just installed the Driver packs (first was v5.10, then with v5.10.1). Both had the same problems as listed above. Here is another problem I've noticed as well, which I mentioned in the past, but never got a fix for. 1. Using an older Driver packs (v5.07 and older), after the installation, I never was able to get the sound files (control panels etc) to load for my Abit NF2 Motherboard. I see where they should be loaded using the Driverpacks, but for some reason they just don't work.
  5. So I'm a little Lost in Translation... The two methods involved are... 1. Unpacking your newwmp.rar file into the i386 folder, and 2. Using a combination of Ryan's WMP and some files in your newwmp.rar. If this is correct, then my next question is, how do you use Gnome's Slipstreamer with this newwmp.rar file? When you run Gnome's v3 Slipstreamer, it asked for the location of the Windows Media Player 10 Executable. So are we supposed to download the latest version of MP10 from MS, run the Slipstreamer process, and then copy over your newwmp.rar files? Also, there is a catfiles.rar inside of the newwmp.rar file, what is this for, and do I need to install it as well?
  6. Stardock has released a new IconPackager that no longer works with the AutoIt Script. Anyone know of a different way to Silently install this application?

  8. Slipstreamed the latest version (5.07.4) and During the second half (after copying the files - Run_ME.cmd etc - to my Unattended location) I choose the RunOnceEx.cmd method, and it asks me to put in a number (default is 937 or something like that). I put in 090 (as this is an open number in my RunOnceEx.cmd file) yet there is no update in the file after the Slipstream is completed.
  9. Bashrat, Tried to do the uninstall, and got the following Window upon running Run_Me.cmd... "Completing OemPnPDriversPath in winnt.sif" That contained the following text listed over and over again... "The system cannot find the path specified. 'Go' is not recongnized as an internal or external command, operable program or batch file." Then this was at the end... ****** B A T C H R E C U R S I O N exceeds STACK limits ****** Recursion Count=548, Stack Usage=90 percent ****** B A T C H PROCESSING IS A B O R T E D ****** Overall, it has removed the Drivers from $OEM$\$1\D. But with the above error, there are a bunch of files left over in the root of my Unattended folder (fedit.exe, cmdow.exe, BTS_DPs_finish.cmd, filecase.exe, OemPnPDriversPath.cmd, etc). Not really sure what I need to do now. Any suggestions?
  10. Allow me to bump you off your high horse then... 1. Viaidexp.sys causes BSOD on my A7V266-E PC. This driver was from pack 505.7 and is dated 5/15/05. Removing these drivers gets rid of the BSOD. They are located under UWXPCD\$OEM$\$1\D\M\V\3. 2. I belive I read in another post, if I wanted to remove your old Driverpacks from my Unattended CD. All I had to do was remove the various DriverPacks from the DriverPacks folder, and rerun BTS_DPs_Slipstreamer.cmd, and this would remove all the changes your Driverpacks have made to my Unattended CD. Is this correct? Do I need to use the original Slipstreamer that added your Driverpacks to my CD, or could I download the latest one and have it do the same thing? 3. Since I use Method 1, with RunOnceEx.cmd, I have noticed some issues that I think many other people would like some info on. The first being that I had to manually add the following to RunonceEx.cmd... REG ADD %KEY%\095 /VE /D "BTS DriverPacks: finishing..." /f REG ADD %KEY%\095 /V 1 /D "%SystemDrive%\D\BTS_DPs_finish.cmd" /f This runs just before Cleanup.cmd which has the following line in it... psshutdown.exe -r -f -t 180 -m "Windows XP will now restart in 3 minutes..." So my question, is 3 minutes doesn't seem to be enough time for your BTS_DPs_finish.cmd to complete. As I have noticed that some of your Control Panel apps don't seem to get installed. I know the default that most people use is 1 minute (I increased mine to 3 minutes, but I'm not sure this is enought time as WindowsXP doesn't seem to finish loading before it reboots). So do you have a rough guest on how long BTS_DPs_finish.cmd should take? 4. Also, related to #3 above, under C:\D there is a file BTS_DPs_finish.cmd that didn't get deleted.
  11. Evilvoice Your right, the only way to get that message is if the .msi file was packed with 7zip, which both RyamVM and it_ybd used in there installers. My point wasn't to show that you couldn't uncheck and recheck an item. My point was to show that you can't enable any feature that isn't already checked by default, as the program will try to find the initial install folder which was put under c:\temp, but gets deleted after the first install is finished. Oh, and just copying the .msi file doesn't work either, it looks for additional files as well.
  12. Bashrat, If I wanted to just update my Unattended DVD with this new release, what do I need to do if I already have 5.05.2 installed? Or do I have to start over with a version without any of your Driverpacks installed?
  13. it_ybd Your Acrobat reader installer has the same problem that RyanVM's does. Simply put, you can't change any settings in the reader, as it will prompt you for the .msi file. For example, start Acrobat reader 7, goto Edit\Properties and in the Properties page, select Internet. Then Uncheck "Display PDF in Browser", it will work its magic and close the Properties page. Now go back into Properties, and put a check in "Display PDF in Browser". It will start to work, then it stops looking for the acroread7.msi file in C:\Temp\7zxxx.
  14. Bashrat I think I found the problem (maybe anyway). Under D\S I have two folders, one is D\S\A and the other is D\S\N. Should I perhaps move the folder N and put it under the A folder (so it would be D\S\A\N)??? Under BTS_DPs_finish.cmd I show the following (notice the missing SET C=%DPDIR%\S\)... CMDOW @ /HID REM #################################### SET DPDIR=%SystemDrive%\D SET D=%SYSTEMROOT%\system32\drivers\ SET S=%SYSTEMROOT%\system32\ REM #################################### REM ONLY EDIT THIS FILE IF YOU KNOW WHAT YOU'RE DOING! :DPSA3 IF NOT EXIST %C%N\AudioUtl.exe GOTO DPSA4 IF EXIST %D%nvapu.sys ( START /WAIT %C%N\AudioUtl.exe -y -o%TMP%\AudioUtl START /WAIT %TMP%\AudioUtl\Setup.exe -s -f1 RD /S /Q %TMP%\AudioUtl ) My cmdlines.txt has no entry for BTS_DPs_ROE.cmd. However I did find the file under D:\UWXPCD\$OEM$. Here is the code's that are in it... CMDOW @ /HID @ECHO OFF REG ADD HKLM\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\RunOnceEx\096 /VE /D "BTS DriverPacks: finishing..." /f REG ADD HKLM\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\RunOnceEx\096 /V 1 /D "%SystemDrive%\D\BTS_DPs_finish.cmd" /f EXIT I also remember a problem with the above code, and so I added the following to RunOnceEx.cmd... REG ADD %KEY%\095 /VE /D "BTS DriverPacks: finishing..." /f REG ADD %KEY%\095 /V 1 /D "%SystemDrive%\D\BTS_DPs_finish.cmd" /f REG ADD %KEY%\096 /V 1 /D "%SystemDrive%\T\BTS_DPs_cleanup.cmd" /f The T folder is another Driver pack that someone made in these forums for TV Tuner cards.
  15. Bashrat Didn't change a thing, followed your directions for Method 1 with RunOnceEx.cmd. If I may ask, under what folder is the NV Mixer software located? And from what file is the software called up to be installed?
  16. RyanVM Your Adobe Reader 7 Switchless installer appears to work fine, until you try to make a change to it after it's installed. For example, start Acrobat reader 7, goto Edit\Properties and in the Properties page, select Internet. Then Uncheck "Display PDF in Browser", it will work its magic and close the Properties page. Now go back into Properties, and put a check in "Display PDF in Browser". It will start to work, then it stops looking for the acroread7.msi file in C:\Temp\7zS222. Haven't read any posts about other having this issue, and I just downloaded the file from your site again to verify I was using the latest one.
  17. Bashrat Not really sure if this is included in your sound pack or not, but I have the Soundstorm chip on my nForce 2 Motherboard (Abit NFS2), and the drivers installed ok, but the NV Mixer app didn't install with it. Again, not sure if this is part of your Driverpack or not. But it is needed to setup and/or adjust your speakers if you use the nForce 2 chipsets with onboard sound.
  18. Anyone know the Registry keys to get rid of the Yahoo Search Button and Printme Internet Printing (from the File menu)? I tried to use the same keys that worked with Acrobat Reader 7, but they don't seem to work with the Full verion of Acrobat 7.
  19. Dos_txt.zipBTS_DPs.zipBashrat, 1. Attached is my Dosnet.inf and txtsetup.sif files. 2. I actually copied the Sound Blaster 24 files from the CD that came with the Dell PC to C:\UWXPCD\$OEM$\$1\D\S\CR\24. It contains all the same file structure that your LS version has (AddOn, Common, Lang, Win2k_XP). I also added the driver information to my Winnt.sif file (under OEMPNPDRIVERSPATH). This fixed the missing driver issue with the sound. Wish I could give you more information, but I dont have the system in front of me at the moment, so can't give you any more details on the sound card. Below is the first bit of the P17.inf file located under the Win2k_XP section, perhaps it will help: ; Apache INF file ; ; Models : SB0413 ; ; Feature : Enhanced (WDM) ; Language : English ; ; Date : 10 Jun 2004 ; Revision : 1.04.037 (SoundFont) ; ; Copyright 1995-2004, Creative Technology Ltd. I didn't modify the cleanup process. In fact, I'll attach the BTS_DPs_cleanup.cmd file for you to take a look at. Below is the code I use to run the BTS_DPs_cleanup.cmd file in RunOnceEx.cmd. REG ADD %KEY%\095 /VE /D "BTS DriverPacks: finishing..." /f REG ADD %KEY%\095 /V 1 /D "%SystemDrive%\D\BTS_DPs_finish.cmd" /f
  20. Haven't changed a thing Bashrat. Only thing I changed (which was posted in the DP Base thread) was adding the Si3112.sys driver to I386. Perhaps the control panel doesn't work with the ATI x300 display. Not really sure, just throwing ideas out.
  21. Using Driverpack base 5.05.2 with the latest Graphics Packs, I get the following error message (using Method 1 with RunOnceEX.cmd): When BTS_DPs_finish.cmd runs, I get the following error... ATI Control Panel Error Extracting support files: Access is denied The video card is a ATI Radeon X300 Here is the Graphics portion of BTS_DPs_finish.cmd CMDOW @ /HID REM #################################### SET DPDIR=%SystemDrive%\D SET D=%SYSTEMROOT%\system32\drivers\ SET S=%SYSTEMROOT%\system32\ REM #################################### REM ONLY EDIT THIS FILE IF YOU KNOW WHAT YOU'RE DOING! Not sure if this is the exact problem, but it sure looks that way. Anyone else seen this problem?
  22. Found another problem with the ATI Graphics Drivers. When BTS_DPs_finish.cmd runs, I get the following error... ATI Control Panel Error Extracting support files: Access is denied The video card is a ATI Radeon X300
  23. Bâshrat Incompatibility issue with what? I made the change (added Si3112.sy_ to the I386 folder), and this fixed my problem. Now my unattended DVD works just like my CD version, except now I have tons more drivers. I did encounter one driver problem. Apparently, the sound card used on Dell GX280 PC's isn't recognized. Its an add in card from Sound Blaster listed as an Sound Blaster Live 24Bit.
  24. Bâshrat So after looking around, I found the problem with my missing SI3112.sys file. Apparently, it's no where to be found after installing the Driverpacks. However, looking at Green Machines webpage (http://greenmachine.msfnhosting.com/READING/addraid.htm) all the entries are in txtsetup.sif. I found the drivers for SI3112.sys under $OEM$\$1\D\M\AD\9, but there was nothing listed under I386 for SI3112.sys (however there was a SI3112R.sy_). I'm gonna try to manual add the driver and run Setup again to see if this fixes the error. I'll post back if It works or not. One more issue (not sure it's intended). I have two Intel INF folders. One is located under $OEM$\$1\D\C\I, the other is located under $OEM$\$$\INF. Again, not sure if both of these are needed, just found it and thought I would share the info.
