  2. Hey there. I've recently noticed after a number of times making an ISO with CDImage, my EXEs for my given Unattended Setup no longer work. Ie, AIM Install, etc. They are the same file-size as the original, yet when ran appear in a big black ugly DOS Box; and at one point I got an error that the program is too big to fit in memory. Does CDImage corrupt these files? In any way? It's no big problem, but I thought I'd ask if there was a solution, or if anyone else has had the problem.
  3. Hey there! Every once in a while, I program in Visual Basic and like the "ToolWindow" style as opposed to default "Sizeable" style. I was wondering if you could (easily) change the various "styles" for Windows itself, or specific apps with ResHacker. Could anybody point me in the right direction? And if this isn't exactly the perfect forum, I wasn't sure which one it would go to. Heh.
  4. Awesome, thanks for the reply. Hopefully I can conjure up some interesting screen to use as a background as opposed to taking somebody else's ideas or images... There was one I loved except for the fact that ya'll use SP2 slip-streamed... I have yet to actually try SP2 final...
  5. Well I'm able to remove that text, or change it as I see fit right? @buletov: I never knew an OS that came on an OEM machine preinstalled was piracy.
  6. I was curious; if I took this dll from XP Home and used it on an XP Pro Unattended install, would it still work / cause problems? The reason is, I seem to be unable to get WINNTBBU.DL_ to work properly; ie, ResHack the DLL after Extracting it...
  7. Cool, your as new as me! Hello!
  8. Only a couple hundred more, and MSFN has 30,000 members, and I'm one of them; Yay!
  9. What do you think? Comments, Questions, Suggestions? All ears.
  10. Hello! I'm a new member here, and hope to post often. I found out about creating unattended XP installs a short while ago and have been very interested. I am currently a teenager in my last year in high-school and love computers / technology and video games. Hopefully I can have fun and make friends like the rest of you. This is an uber active forum.
  11. I was curious about two plugins for Paint Shop; Alienskin and Eye Candy. Do they have silent installs?
  12. Sorry it took me so long to finally post this. Was busy with other things. I actually found my mistake, and I think I can point it out. In Start.CMD I had this: ECHO. ECHO Installing Office XP Pro with FrontPage ECHO Please Wait... start /wait %systemdrive%\Install\Applications\OfficeXP\setup.exe TRANSFORMS=Unattended.MST /qb- ECHO. ECHO Installing AIM ECHO Please Wait... start /wait %systemdrive\Install\Applications\AIM\Install_AIM.exe /S I should fix %systemdrive\ to be "%systemdrive%". I feel so stupid for making that mistake. Sorry for wasting everyone's time. So much for typing in everything manually... Sorry... I'll post here again if have questions or problems.
  13. I reinstalled my OS when I got that problem. Number of reasons via a Google Search will come up. Go figure.
  14. Hello All. (nice forum! B) ) I've made an unattended XP DVD and tested installing it with Virtual PC. The files were copied correctly (I have to check when I get home if EVERYTHING I wanted was copied correctly...) But my problem was that the only application that installed silently was Office 2003. Every other application gave me an error that the path doesn't exist. "systemroot/path/to/app.exe" does not exist. I have the "%systemdrive%" variables in place, and I cannot find anything that is wrong. Since I know someone will ask for some of the files required for the unattended install; I'll put them up when I get home. (I'm at school now.) I think I may be overlooking something, but I'll find out when I get home. Thanks for the help. msfn.org rocks.
