  1. Good job, Tihiy. But I have a question. What about compatibility? If the user firstly install SP 2.0 with your fix, and secondly Revolutions Pack, everything will be OK?
  2. There should be a BOOTLOG.TXT file in your root directory (C:\). Could you check it? (Or you can send it to me.) Also if you have any non-Intel mainboard like VIA, you should install your mainboard's latest drivers. MDGx, thanks.
  3. I hope so. (I couldn't reproduce this problem on my system, so I couldn't test it.) Thanks for great feedback. It looks like that the uninstallation on the sleek is broken. I'll fix it soon. Maybe, you're right. But SP 2.0 will not contain it. Maybe it or a better USB storage support returns on the next version.
  4. I hope I will release the final version in the next week. We have not found any serious bugs on RC3 so far.
  5. I think for a service pack, a long beta and RC period is very helpful. The service pack changes and updates crucial parts of the OS, so the stability of the service pack is also crucial. However, especially BETA and first RC releases are testers only.
  6. Nabtsfec.sys problem is not important. If you have DirectX 8+, you should keep your newer file. Uninstallation on 98lite sleek should work, if there is a problem, this must be related with EXPLORER.EXE or SHELL32.DLL.
  7. No, you don't need to remove any hot-fix before installing the SP.
  8. Interesting fix. I think I can add this fix into the next SP (2.0.1 or 2.1).
  9. No, 891711 didn't included in RC2 and RC3.
  10. Can you check that all extracted files are OK, and they are NOT read-only ? I'll try to add silent installation support into the next SP.
  11. I hope the mirrors will be available soon. I will try to incorporate some parts of Tihiy's works into the next SP (2.1).
  12. Which version have you tried to slipstream? Did you read the "Installation Guide for SE SP 2.0" topic?
  13. 2.0 RC3 RapidShare Softpedia (15.4 MB) What's new in RC3? - ADDED: 2 new hot-fixes (319571, 320798). - UPDATED: MDGx's HTML Update. - FIXED: Annoying restart bug. - FIXED: Annoying reinstallation bug. - FIXED: GDI.EXE uninstallation bug. Thanks to bilemke, mitsubishi, ivman, ssmokee, zzirch, appp, kelzy, webmatze, x-pert, mamas6667 and all others for their bug reports. Note: If we cannot find any major bug in it, I'll mark this RC3 as FINAL. Other works: 982ME by MDGx Revolutions Pack by Tihiy Generic USB Drivers for Flash Disks / Cameras by Maximus-Decim
  14. If it doesn't contain any serious bug, RC3 will be last RC.
  15. Because I'm lazy The only reason is that I just got this hot-fix a few days ago. Hopefully, it will be in the RC3.
  16. Are you sure that have you latest drivers for your USB and mainboard?
  17. Could you check your C:\MSDOS.SYS file? It must contain "SystemReg=0" line...
  18. As I said, It is a bug. I'll fix it on RC3. Windows 2000 Desktop Icons and 256 colour tray could not be supported on Sleek, because of older files. About uninstallation problem, try to copy ORIGINAL gdi.exe and gdi32.dll files from Win98 SE CD onto your system.
  19. Sorry, but NO. SP 2.0 Final will be released as English version only. On the other hand, I will write a detailed localization guide after releasing the final version. So any contributor can make a localized SP. Please don't forget that I'm not Microsoft. I'm only ONE person.
  20. OK, I will sent it to you soon. 98lite? Sleek? Your fix is a workaround. But I think it's a serious bug. I'm working on it, I hope I will release RC3 soon.
  21. Maybe he is waiting for the final release. But he didn't contact me anything about 2.0. And, I don't know anyone who wants to make PL version.
  22. ivman & mitsubishi: This bug should be fixed on the RC2. Did you get any error message? Can you give me more information? OK, thanks. I'll update them.
  23. Fred, sorry for the problem, but SP 2.0 should work on your system without this problem. My personal computer has SiS chipset, and it works properly. However, you should use latest IDE drivers from SiS. Have you ever installed these drivers?
  24. appp, Sorry, but I don't understand you. These files are in the Windows ME and Windows 2000. Windows ME has originally 6.10.xxxx versions of these DLLs. (MSVCIRT.DLL is from Windows ME). What's the problem with 6.10.xxxx versions? On the other hand, SP 2.0 has MSVCP60.DLL is in the SP 2.0. It is in the SUPP.CAB.
  25. Lots of questions I already don't like to add any modified file into SP. So, for only one icon, I don't want to include mydocs.dll. But Explorer.exe and Shell32.dll have lots of icon and bitmap modifications. I think keyb.com update will not be good for translators like you. But if you say it's OK, I can add it to the next update. No. VMM.VXD is the loader part of the VMM32.VXD. Thanks Matze.
