Good to hear. I'm still on 2.9.8a because I don't make an upgrade until a lot of people say it works bugless (and there havent been any "update fixes" in a while). What program do you use to change your bg? or do you just replace the bg file?

i tried using the switchless version from ryanvm's page. it forces me to reboot... (I only called the exe, without switches, like it says to)

I got a q about the new version: I am used to editing certain things in wpi myself For the new version, I can still edit it right (I know its all in diff js files now)? Also, for example with var appsPerInstallWindow=30; - I can put any number there right? Not just the choices from the wizard menu?

I just got dreamweaver, but when I try to open WPI.hta it only shows me the HTML code. Could you explain how to modify the file graphically (change bg, move buttons, etc.)?

if you have the Metpad already named Notepad, and its on your cd, you could use something like this: cmd /c XCOPY "%cdrom%\\Applications\\Notepad.exe" "%systemdrive%\\system32\\" /E /Y fix the paths, and whatnot.

Hi, I looked through the file in the first post and i couldnt find this: I was wondering what the reg tweak was to set "Days to keep pages in history" to "0"? It's in IE - tools - internet options, bottom.

I have a question/request: You know all those "speed up Acrobat Reader" things around (cmd's, exe's, etc.)? From what I understand, they speed up the load time of AdobeReader by moving some plug-ins to a different folder, so they are not ALWAYS loaded, but they are there if needed... (i think). Anyway, can you make your AdobeReader6.03 incorperate this feature, so it doesn't need to be run afterwards? Sort of like a fully-updated-and-quickly-loading Reader. or is this already in it?

wow, lots of stuff happening in this thread. A couple of weeks (months?) ago I was the only one talking in here, and hasi was the only one answering... LOL Anyways, this all looks awesome. Between the code fixes, and the customization screens, I am loving this tool. My question, I guess, is directed at BritishBulldog, since you seem to be doing the 'cosmetic' part of this: Any freeware WSYIWYG editors out there for customizing the hta file? (I don't have frontpage )

truth is that hasi's version is the only one REALLY still being developed. the orignal, and then the brain's, and coolsight's versions could be stickied for old-time's sake, and allow for the continual development of hasi's.

Yeah, only because I use my UDVD on many computers and don't want to be bothered fixing each one. Let me know when it's ready.

First of all, Hey hasi! I didn't know if you left for good; I haven't seen you post in a while! Now, could you explain, or post an exmaple, of how to use the dependency? Sounds really useful, but I'm not enitrely sure how it works. Did you also remove the standard confirmation message? (the one where user clicks Begin Install)? Or do I still have to comment out that line "window.alert(getText(msgStartInstall));" to remove Alert? Thanks again!
