  2. Not going to judge a final product until I use said final product. I am actually more excited to see where and how far this goes with the server version rather than the client.
  3. I think Silverlight is just getting started. I believe it is going to be widely implemented with Windows Phone 7 coming later this year.

  6. FTA the caps were made by Nichicon http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nichicon Capacitors were actually the #1 decision factor in my last motherboard purchase for my home server. I ended up going with a Gigabyte Ultra Durable 3 board for this reason. Info on Gigabyte UD3 http://www.gigabyte.us/FileList/WebPage/mb_080924_ud3/data/tech_080924_ud3_overview.htm# http://www.gigabyte.com/microsite/98/tech_090302_technology-guide_ultra-durable-f.htm (wish they'd clean up their site though)

  10. Usually caused by missing .NET Framework libraries or Visual Studio libraries. For example: Microsoft Visual C++ 2005 SP1 Redistributable Package http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?familyid=200b2fd9-ae1a-4a14-984d-389c36f85647&displaylang=en You may be able to find what dependencies are failing to load with Dependency Walker (freeware): http://www.dependencywalker.com/
  11. Don't forget that since XP you can right click on a file or folder and in the Send To menu you can create a zip file.

  13. Just FYI you can set a custom shell from group policy (gpedit.msc) User Configuration \ Admin Templates \ System \ Custom User Interface http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/aa479087.aspx
  14. I was going to suggest erasing the disk with diskpart cmd or disk management mmc, but it looks like your using osx.
  15. A helpful article I came across which includes two compiled samples from MSDN and instructions for managing Libraries. http://www.grimadmin.com/article.php/creating-modifying-windows-7-libraries It would be nice to see this done from a Policy or Preference someday.
  16. I actually prefer to use the built in Disk Cleanup tool, as I've had problems caused by third party cleanup tools in the past. Disk Cleanup can be scripted too: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/315246
  17. I added 'Firefox' to the topic title so it is clear what this refers to.

  19. Also try http://mpc-hc.sourceforge.net/
  20. What is the link speed to your computers? For example I have a gigabit switch and gigabit nics in my computers so it can handle the bitrate to stream video.
  21. Usually in the BIOS settings you can view hardware temperatures and set thresholds, I would check these first. There is software such as Everest and Speccy that can display temperature info in Windows http://www.lavalys.com/products/everest-pc-diagnostics http://www.piriform.com/speccy Is this a custom built pc or one from a manufacturer, you should contact them if it turns out to be a hardware problem.
