  1. It would be much much better to start from scratch with this version
  2. @ -I-: Please start a new topic about this and explain the current status if the patcher. We wil follow discussion there. Topic Closed.
  3. Vize 0.4 Beta This version has proven to be very stable. Lots of work on the patcher stuff and new features to avoid system damage. Changes and Download Enjoy
  4. Search and read this first: http://www.msfn.org/board/idea_xpize_64bit...ort_t74353.html
  5. Today I will release 0.4 version which has amongst other features: - Vize System Protection. It will automatically cancel patching, restoring or reloading processes when the first error is found to avoid system damage. - Almost fully rewritten PatcherHelper.dll is safer and successfully worked in all my tests. I'm sorry about the erros you've got (I havent had any errors, that's why I have released previous Vize versions). Please take the time to test 0.4 which I consider a big step forward towards Vize 1.0 final.
  6. Ask your friend for the Vista DVD and reinstall it using the Upgrade method. You wont lose your configs or files.
  7. Good news!
  8. You will have to restore Windows using the Windows DVD. Can you please give some details about your system to try to find why that happened to you?
  9. Hi, 1. As I told you, it is a good idea, but I'm not using that method. I prefer checking file size (I will probably add file version in next versions). But this is not my priority now. 2. No, I'm not worried about resources right now. I want to have a solid and safe base and then start adding new things. 3. Same as above. Cheers
  10. Instead of wasting your time adding red faces, can you please tell us what you removed with vLite and other information of interest to help to resolve that bug? Also, I agree on your suggestion about System Restore. Thanks
  11. Those only have 16 colors support, so I dont think I can fix them.
  12. Okay, thanks. I know what's wrong and its fixed. I'm working now on a NSIS installer better than MSI, will released the fixed version when ready.
  13. zedox: Now the shortcut 0.1 version created should be wrong. Please, make sure the 0.2 update deleted VizeBasic.exe from Program Files - XPero - Vize. Sorry you will have to create a shortcut yourself. This is fixed in the full 0.2 version. MagicAndre1981: That happened when running the exe or when selecting an option in the main screen? Thanks both
  14. A new resource patcher is being developed by a third person. When it is finished there will be XPize and Vize 64bit support. It doesnt depend on me.
  15. zedox: For now, this release of Vize is called Vize Basic because it has basic features (No extras, no source integration, etc..), BUT I think I will be calling it Vize and start adding those features in future releases so people dont get confused as many did with XPize Lite and Full. Good point, thanks. Ultimate Predator: You can try in VM if you really want to test and report bugs MagicAndre1981: You can have a look to Program File where Vize is installed to see what's changed. I really feel lazy in keeping track of every sigle resource I modifiy. I will let you all know only of important changes with every version.
  16. Thats the kind of reply I like, thanks zedox
  17. No, Vize will work normall in Vista, no framework install required.
  18. Thanks all for comments. Yeah I´ve used VS 2008 but targeting the framework 2.0, it was just the setup that by default make framework 3.5 a requirement. Now fixed.
  19. Framework 3.5 requirement fixed
  20. Vize 0.3 Beta Here it is. I want bug hunting on this first release Please be informative on your bug reports. Suggestions are also welcome. I hope we get our own Vize forums section here in MSFN soon. I still have to ask for permission to xper. Download Happy Vizing! B) Edit: 0.3 version out. Official logo added and those crashed are fixed!
  21. Hi, that is a problem of Windows, not XPize, so I cannot solve it.
  22. Cool EDIT: There is no need for the patcher to deal with file protection, uxtheme hacks or whatever. Thats not part of the job of the patcher.
  23. If the new patcher performs at least as good as Reshacker does, it will be definitely used in Vize and XPize. Of course a lot of work has to be done writing scripts :S
  24. They are vista controls. Look in codeproject.
  25. You havent read the topic and youre asking for the Vize source...I dont want to be harsh but I think you like to have the things done for you without too much work. People like zedox have contributed to the XPize (and Vize) project a lot and they deserve the source to create their own packs. In my opinion, what you cant do is register the forums just to ask for the source of a software that hasnt been release yet. Also, in what ways do you think you can improve Vize code? Cheers
