  1. @grabben If you want Windows setup to avoid creating the system partition, you need to partition your hard disk first. That means: do not install Windows to unallocated space. Also, since it is not likely that I will implement the partitioning feature in 7Customizer, I can not include this hack. Regards
  2. @Hopie Are you starting 7Customizer through a shortcut? If yes then start 7Customizer from 7customizer.exe file. I think the problem is this: There is something in programming called "current directory" or "current working directory" it refers to the directory that the application sees. I will confirm that with the next release. Regards
  3. @Hopie Hmmmm, I think I might know what is the problem. Wait for the next release and I will confirm my thoughts and I will give a solution. Regards
  4. @Hopie Here is what you can do: 1. Go to the start menu 2. All programs 3. Microsoft Windows AIK 4. Start Deployment Tools Command Prompt 5. Type imagex in the command window and press enter 6. Take a screen-shot. 7. Type dism in the command window and press enter 8. Take a screen-shot. 9. Post the screenshots here. Regards
  5. @helgatheviking I think that could be done. I will put it in the to do list for future releases. @Hopie From your log you could see that the imagex test fails, I suggest you uninstall WAIK and reinstall it. Regards
  6. @beyondunlimited Could you provide us with the link of the article as grabben (The guy with the Chinese gf ) said we do not know Chinese. Also I searched for 7Customizer in the search field and it did not show anything. Thanks and happy new year to everyone. Regards
  7. @DaCoSa The problem you have has been reported so many times. It will be fixed in the next release. @beyondunlimited Could you provide me a link for this magazine? Multilingual support will be implemented in a future release. Then feel free to translate 7Customizer @mickmack Welcome back. Happy new year. Regards
  8. @grabben Thanks man. From your preset file, I confirmed the problem. It will be resolved next release. Regards
  9. @grabben Hmmm I think I know the problem. Could you post your preset and your log. Thanks for the feedback. Regards
  10. @grabben Thanks. Hmmm, I need to check why 7Customizer did not created an iso for me. Yup. The language for the interface. You could choose it after the installation has finished. Nope. Userlocale is for country, currency date and time format .... etc settings The one for the keyboard is InputLocale. I recommend you test it on a virtual machine it will saves you lots of time and a couple of DVDs. Hmmm, regarding the language pack, you need to select it after the installation. Regarding the keyboard settings, I have tested it so many times and it works fine. However, I will check that one more time. Thanks for your help and feedback and discussion. I really appreciate it. Regards.
  11. @grabben Nice work man. I have a question for you After the execution finished, did 7Customizer created the ISO file? I have tried it yesterday but it did not create an ISO. Nope. Since I am very busy these days, the next version might be late (it might be at the end of this week). Hmmm. You can make sure by opening the ISO file and check autounattend.xml or check the preset file to make sure. If 7Customizer did not set the keyboard language correctly, then tell me which keyboard language you chose and I will correct it in the next release. Thanks man for your feedback and help. It saved me lots of time and it confirmed (pedilover also helped me on this) that 7Customizer actually works on non-English installation sources. Regards
  12. @grabben It is OK man. I appreciate your help and excitement. Looking forward for your feedback. Regards
  13. @grabben Thanks for your feedback. Regarding drivers problems, this issue has been discussed already. These issues are not related to 7Customizer, they are related to dism. I can not help you with these issues. Looking forward for your test results, I hope it works well with you. @Droppo These settings are per user. If we change these settings all users personal folders will be the same. That means the documents of all users will be in the same folder. The folder of program files can be changed without any problems. Regards
  14. @cool I can not help you without your log. Also, if you tweak services, it is your responsibility to check the dependencies. @wazer Yup that is the way to do it. Also, I think adding the command /Unmount-Wim won't hurt also. I will look into that. @mirecek1965 OK. I will replicate what you've done and I will try to resolve the problem. @Droppo I did not understand that. @grabben It would be helpful if you post your successful log. For the partitioning part, read the first post. Regarding tweaks, most of the tweaks you could think of could be implemented easily but it will need time. @TheWalrus Yup of course it is doable. It is called application install it is planned for future release. You could add your own batch or any software to execute after the installation has finished. @SwedenXP Regarding themes it is already planned in a future release. You mean that if you had your autounattend.xml and want to include it in your customized installation? If that so you could just copy your autunattend.xml to your installation source. If not could you explain in more details. @rayone Thank you. Could you post your log? And yes my code is in a try catch block As avnerk said you really need to read the first post. Regards
  15. @avnerk Thanks man. I will try to implement as many as possible and include them in the next release. Regards
  16. @avnerk OK no problem. Any help is appreciated. Thanks. @mirecek1965 Hmmmm still the same problem. I will try to resolve it in the next release. @avnerk If you look at his log, you can find that the size of his image is more than 3000 MB so I do not think it is vlited. Anyways, I will try to resolve it. Thanks for the feedback. Regards
  17. @pedilover Nice work man. This is a confirmation that 7Customizer works correctly on non-English installation sources. Thanks for your help and feedback. I really appreciate it. Regards
  18. @wazer Good luck man. Yup that what was in my mind. hehe good luck man and best wishes. Thanks for dropping by. @Droppo Already discussed and the solution is to use dism to unmount. However it is a good thing to have I will put it in my to do list. I think the options are self descriptive and self explaining but do not worry I will also put this in my to do list but it will have to wait because it is not an important feature. Read the first post Thanks for your suggestions @nice_guy75 Do not worry. I think all the essential feature have been implemented in 7customizer. So it won't be long. @pedilover Thanks man for your feedback. From your log I can see that you used 7Customizer on a German installation source right? And you successfully integrated updates and drivers and some tweaks right? If it was successful and you test your iso in a virtual machine than that is a confirmation that 7Customizer works on non-English installation sources. I want to make sure because there was some guy that reported that 7customizer did not work with his Spanish installation source. Thanks for your time and help. Regards
  19. @wazer Hello there, long time no see Yup that could be done. This is already planned for future release. It is mentioned in the first post. Thanks for your suggestions @mickmack Yup that is the way to do it. Thanks. @theKramer As I mentioned before and in the first post, I can not solve drivers integration problems. These problems are related to dism not 7Customizer. @chenxuwen All you had to do is use dism to unmount the image using the command dism /unmount-wim Regards
  20. @theKramer as avnerk said, it is not a problem. This is because you put blank spaces in the computer name. I will put the rules for the computer name in the next release Sure. I will fix that in the next release. Thank you for your feedback @avnerk If you look at the error image, it says that the error is in the pass "specialize" and the component is "Microsoft-Windows-Shell-Setup". This is how I figured out the error. @amitri Yup it could be done. Thank you for your suggestion Regards
  21. @pitoloko I do not see anything funny. Anyways, the OP means Original Poster and that is me. Now go read the first post first and then read the visual guide and then come back with your problem. @mickmack 5. Trigger UAC in Vista and 7 is easy i guess, in autounattend.xml Nope. That was not what I meant. What I meant is that 7Customizer requires to be run as administrator by clicking right click on the 7Customizer.exe and selecting run as administrator. What I wanted is that if 7customizer was not run as administrator it should show you the annoying UAC message. I already implemented this feature. It will be in the next release. I might look at it in a future release as I mentioned before. Sure why not. I was planning to search about this topic but if you have a solution already, it will be great. Regards
  22. @jamesbebby I think the unattended part is just used for automating the setup and should be as simple and minimal to achieve automated setup. However, I might look it in future releases. @pedilover yup. stefanRTR is a nice and helpful guy. @mickmack if you read the first post you will see that there is already a to do list and there is already a list of implemented features and a list of implemented features that needs testing. @avnerk I did not include any new tweaks since v0.2.5. So it might be some tweaks you added to reg.reg. Anyways, try not to rush things with tweaks. As I told you tweaks will come every release or two and I can not resolve problems that was caused by adding your own tweaks. Regards
