thanks, i finally went to http://www.googlegear.com and was able to pick up 256 PC133 for $37 and ddr was real cheap there as well

??...why go through that kind of hell, why don't you just clone the drive . saves time,

hi all, does anyone know if there is a way in black ice server to block a range of ip's. (example is if an intruder is 127.0.0.1 ) could i block block every address that ended with 0.0.1. the reason is i'm sick of blocking aol users and if i can block all of them that would make my life easier. thanks

hi all, well i went ahead and reinstalled win 2k. and everything is working now.....also updated teh bios while i was at it. i'm guessing there was never really any real problem with the memory and the board...just that 2000 didn't like the sudden switch. oh well it needed to be blowed and redone anyway thanks for the help... w00t

ok, i am stumped everything is being recognized correctly now, and the fsb is correctly set, i am still have issues with 2000. it still insists to continuous reboot. i'll probably have to reinstall, biut **** that will take a low of work. good thing i have my laptop so at least i can get online

i have a problem, wonder if anybody has any ideas on it. i recently bought 2 512MB ddr 2100/266MHZ memory strips and my board which is a ECS K7AMA has sdram & ddr slots on it. and it supports this memomry. the problem i have is that the board recognizes the memory and then Windows 2000 starts to load, then it reboots. i can't even get the os in any form to load. and i have flashed cmos already. and it still happens. another issue has come along with this one. my board no longer recognizes my chip as a 1Ghz now it says it's a 750MHZ. any help is appreciated, thanks my specs: MY SPECS: AMD THUNDERBIRD 1GHZ ECS K7AMA MOBO 1 80GB 7200RPM MAXTOR HDD 1 40GB 5400RPM MAXTOR HDD 10X HITACHI DVD/ROM SONY 8X4X32 CDRW 17" KDS MONITOR 128MB DDR GEFORCE 4 TI4200 WINDOWS 2000 PROFESSIONAL K7AMA- http://www.ecsusa.com/products/k7ama.html memory- 2 512 MBB DDR KINGSTON 2100

TRYING TO HELP By Dennis Miller All the rhetoric on whether or not we should go to war against Iraq has got my insane little brain spinning like a roulette wheel. I enjoy reading opinions from both sides, but I have detected a hint of confusion from some of you. As I was reading the paper recently, I was reminded of the best advice someone ever gave me. Here are 10 things to consider when voicing an opinion on this important issue: 1) President Bush and Saddam Hussein.....Hussein is the bad guy. 2) If you have faith in the United Nations to do the right thing, keep this in mind. They have Libya heading the Committee on Human Rights and Iraq heading the Global Disarmament Committee. Do your own math here. 3) If you use Google Search and type in "French Military Victories," your reply will be "Did you mean French Military Defeats?" 4) If your only anti-war slogan is "No war for oil," sue your school district for allowing you to slip through the cracks and robbing you of the education you deserve. 5) Saddam and Bin Laden will not seek United Nations approval before they try to kill us. 6) Despite what some seem to believe, Martin Sheen is NOT the President. He plays one on T.V. 7) Even if you are anti-war, you are still an "Infidel" and Bin Laden wants you dead, too. 8) If you believe in a "vast right-wing conspiracy," but not in the danger that Hussein poses, quit hanging out with the Dell computer dude. 9) We are not trying to liberate them. 10) Whether you are for military action, or against it, our young men and women overseas are fighting for us to defend our right to speak out. yeah what's the point of spending the money on a 52x burner if they won't sell cd's that burn that fast...waste of money..i'm gonna wait for the dvd burner's to get real cheap and a standard is developed for them . then i'll buy one of those.
