  1. No I'm not talking 'bout this... I said it was the OEMLOGO stated in the unattended guide of msfn.org... The one in system properties... I never stated the windows setup
  2. there is a transparent one... looks like I'll have to check in my old stuff... I used to mod all windows interface and find out that the winlogo in the start menu use a bmp with an alpha channel wich cause transparency (and not the magenta color). This was a 32-bits bmp with alpha... I remember that it was needed to do something special in photoshop to create this type of bmp... I'm sure it's using the samething because I remember that in the past I used the magenta color as a test for transparency and wasn't working
  3. well, what must I do to keep the transparency as the tutorial says?
  4. Hi, I'm following the unattended guide from msfn.org. Everything work. Now, I want to know how to include transparency into the bmp for the oemlogo... Is it the pink color that make it transparent or it's real transparent (like the one of photoshop)? If it's real one, how do I save that transparancy in bmp? (at my last knowledge, bmp doesn't support transparency...)
  5. you just have to run %cddrive%\pro\setup.msi... don't use the setup in root folder, go into the office folder... as for the other product such as onenote and all, just do the same with them...
  6. why not simply put it into a folder (i.e. $oem$\drivers) and say windows to search for drivers there?
  7. the keep box??? is this new to .98.4 version???
  8. well, it didn't cause the problem you are saying... I have find an alternate way to do it, I like it better that way (since my administrator username will be change depending on user input). in batch file ECHO. ECHO Starting File Copy ECHO. ECHO. Copying favorites ECHO Please wait... xcopy /y /e %systemdrive%\install\favorites "%userprofile%\favorites" Here it is, better that way. Also, I deleted oobe from the installation and the folder are beeing copied now... I just put them in the wrong folder
  9. Hi, I would like to know if someone know how to change the destination of the special folder in windows (i.e. my document, my music, documents and settings, favorites, etc...). Well, I want these information for unattended installation. thanks *edit Btw, I notice a "My Video" registry key that is a folder in xp home, what happen to it in pro?
  10. ;Disable Remote-Desktop [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Terminal Server] "fDenyTSConnections"=dword:00000001 "fAllowToGetHelp"=dword:00000000
  11. btw, you say to move $docs and $progs to $1... if I looked at the picture, isn't it's into $oem?
  12. yes, thanks, I saw after that's why I edited my post
  13. why winzip??? because winzip 9.0 won't do a silent install except if you run the winzip32.exe with /autoinstall /bnotip /noqp... this is what winzip.com says... and since I delete my install and drivers folder after the install, winzip need the .exe on next reboot, so easier this way
  14. oh dam, forget to attach the picture lol, post edited Here is my winnt.sif ; ; Generated by nLite 0.98.3 Beta ; [Data] MsDosInitiated = 0 UnattendedInstall = Yes [Unattended] UnattendMode = FullUnattended UnattendSwitch = Yes OemPreinstall = Yes OemSkipEula = Yes OemPnPDriversPath="Drivers\000_chipset\IDE\WinXP;Drivers\000_chipset\GART;Drivers\000_chipset\SMBus;Drivers\000_chipset\MemCtl;Drivers\000_chipset\Ethernet;Drivers\001_network;Drivers\001_network\WINXP;Drivers\002_graphics;Drivers\004_sound\WDM;Drivers\005_monitor" FileSystem = * WaitForReboot = No TargetPath = "\Windows" DriverSigningPolicy = Ignore NonDriverSigningPolicy = Ignore Hibernation = No KeyboardLayout="Canadian French" [SystemFileProtection] SFCQuota = 0 [SetupParams] SkipMissingFiles = Yes [GuiUnattended] AdminPassword = "###########" TimeZone = 035 OEMSkipRegional = 1 OemSkipWelcome = 1 AutoLogon = Yes [Display] BitsPerPel = 32 Xresolution = 1024 Yresolution = 768 Vrefresh = 85 [UserData] ProductKey = "#############" ComputerName = "MERADOR" FullName = Neo's Computer OrgName = "" [RegionalSettings] Language = 1009 [Identification] JoinWorkgroup = "Paradox" [Networking] [GuiRunOnce] %systemdrive%\install\first_boot.cmd But like I said, only $Docs and $Progs doesn't work. $OEM$ work
  15. hmm... think I'll pass... since I removed all drivers, I kind of have alot of files to add...
  16. thanks, but where do we get cusrmgr.exe? I can't find it tks
  17. Hi, I<m currently making an unattended xp installation. Everything work fin (Even the slipstream of sp2 and office 2k3) but I have a problem. My cdrom tree reside like this (see picture). Now, the files/folders into $docs and $progs aren't copied at all. They stay on the cd. Can anyone tell me why??? Thanks
  18. When using the command "pskill", I get an error stating that the command doesn't exist (Bad command or file name). *edit nm... found out on google
  19. /silentinstallnosponsor use that. Say thanks to live chat msn plus support
  20. Hi, I would like to know if someone know how to change a group policy (gpedit.msc) without login in (well, while the installation of windows). What I want to do with that is rename the administrator account like I used to do, but I want it already done (so I don't need to create another admin account that will change that) tks
  21. well, as I said, I wasn't sure if it was a bug or not... But, isn't the file driver.cab the place where all drivers are in??? When it looks for driver, it look into that folder, isn't it?
  22. Something I find out, that's maybe not a nlite bug though... I used the makecab .ddf file that nlite is using (but with modified file list) to create my own driver.cab so it includes the drivers I used (well, I used nlite to create a driver.cab without any driver, partially empty (2 megs instead of 28) and I copied the .ddf into another folder. I then copied the driver.cab, extract it, add my own driver, recompress using .ddf algorithme and put the new driver.cab into i386 folder. Then, when I installed windows, the driver doesn't seems to be there. The good driver.cab is there, I see the files into the driver.cab but windows doesn't seems to recognize them. I tried using the $OEM$\$1\Driver style.. It worked, but I don't like seeing a driver folder into my installation.
