yeah but hers has one for remote desktop and mine doesnt.... so its possible and the documents is a different thing i want to change aswell

on my gf computer her taskbar has a heap of expandable arrows but mine only has a few how do i get one to appear for remote desktop??? i also noticed my libraries folder has a list of folder groups or even if its just one still shows the folder group where as hers just opens it like a normal folder and display the contents even if theres more than 1 folder

i have used regshot previously for something else but it seems to have alot of reg changes even if u havent done anything i was just wondering if theres a list like xp where certain reg keys do certain things so i can just export those reg keys

no jumpers i did manage to get it to work when i unplugged all the usb ports out of the back of the card so could be a sharing port... (even though nothing else on the card was currently running) without pulling it out i cant see i will have to pull it out when i have time and have a look at it and get back on that i have an 800w psu so think it can handle it plus i dont like usb hubs powered or not i have 4 usb ports in the back on the mother board 2 usb ports up front on the mother board and this 5 port pci card EDIT: ok so going on the shared port theory i unplugged everything at the back and it worked i then plugged something into "port 1" the back and it didnt work so moved it into "port 2" and it works so plugged in "port 2, 3, 4" at the back and the internal port and it works so it does seem to share 1 of the ports problem solved thanks guys especially Ponch

a few yrs ago (yes my computer is old now) i put a pci card into my computer as i needed more usb ports all is working fine there is an internal usb port on the card which i never bothered about using but want to use it now but it doesnt work...? all the other 4 ports at the back of the pci card work but the internal 1 doesnt is there something i have to do??

i have a friend that wants me to setup his mates computer like i set his up i was just wondering if and how i could go about this? can i create a run once command to do it? and can UAC, pinned start bar items etc be copied from the regisrty and input in the run once? the basic things i want to change are theme colour turn UAC off (its more annoying than helpful imo) pinned to start menu -remote assistance -remote desktop -other programs and then do a few installs of certain programs and copy some settings etc over any help on where to find the reg commands? or another way to do it without having to manually do it again and again

i can get my hand on 2 NP730 for a small price if i can find out how to reset them or find the user and pass does anyone know how?? it says the hard reset can only be done by sending to the factory with a cost of $50 per unit and $16.50 freight!!! is there a password cracker i can run on it? or some way of hard resetting it?

just set wake on lan to enabled in bios thanks will look at that when i can get access to it next looking at those last 2 links it wants to install 5.1 but i already have version 5.4 so wont install and i dont have the TCAUDIAG utility i wont be able to test wol until i can access it

found the settings in the advance tab of the lan card properties RWU ARP RWU Macic pkt RWU ping standby RWU Macic pkt standby RWU pattern set them to enabled and ticked the allow this device to bring out of standby also enabled wol in bios forwarded port to the computer ( i have a Thomson TG782T ) opened ports in firewall its an integrated 3com 3c920 (3C905-TX Compatible) iv read this and created a reg entry to input these settings http://en.community.dell.com/support-forums/network-internet-wireless/f/3324/t/17164681.aspx basically everything that needs to be done should be but i still cant get it to work unsure if im able to get the packets through the router to the computer or if i havent set the computer up properly how do i make sure the packets are getting to the computer? i have tried using the remote desktop port as i know this works but nothings happening on the wol client im using on my phone it keeps saying host not found

have a dell latitude c610 and want to use wol so i can put it to sleep using remote desktop and wake it using wake on lan so i dont have to access the computer when i want to turn it on it has a 3com 3c920 lan card and have found rwu settings (im guessing its remote wake up) but cant get it to work

i have an asus p4sgx-mx mother board and i need a lan driver for it for win 7 i did have it running win7 a while ago and somehow it could connect to my network so obviously had a driver for it but after a reformat (use it as my test machine) it doesnt have a lan driver i cant find one thru windows online search or on the windows 7 disc???? and all the 1s i can find are xp versions??? does anyone know where i could find a win 7 lan driver for it??

i want to be able to convert flash video and mp4 from youtube into divx but all the converters i have tried dont do flv or mp4 and then the 1 i have ffound doesnt do a very good job the video is all pixelated etc is there a decent video conveter that can do flv and mp4?

i know u can boot xp from usb by editing some files in the iso and then installing but is there a way i can copy my xp install from my primary hdd on laptop that is about to fail to my external usb hdd and make it bootable without having to reinstall xp and setup everything again?

ok so i didnt change anything had the computer shutdown come back to it this morning and it works sort of it boots into the raid manager but i can only select 1 hdd so cant raid? it only picks up on the hdd in the jmicron sata port not in any other ports how do i get it to find the other drives

my motherboard supposedly supports raid (and i have the JMicron JMB361 chip on the board)and i have been trying to find and install a windows 7 64 bit raid driver but im having some trouble i have downloaded from this page http://www.msi.com/index.php?func=downloaddetail&type=driver&maincat_no=1&prod_no=265 JMicron IDE/SATA RAID Driver - which installs the jmb36x driver but cant boot into the raid manager on boot up (CTRL + J) (i have enabled raid in bios unless theres another setting that i have missed) and it displays press CTRL + J to load raid manager during boot up but automatically boots to my boot manager window for dual os Intel Matrix Storage Manager Driver - says computer does not meet the minimum requirements for installing the software do i have a wrong driver or is it my boot manager interupting it....?

yeah but i want to add pinned locations to that pinned program to create a submenu (right click pinned item to show submenu) but can only do it with windows explorer

when u pin windows explorer to the task bar u can pin other items into it and they are available on right click is there a way to add things to other pinned taskbar app shortcuts eg firefox with submenus of webpage link

i found this on another forum for toggling hidden files can someone change it to toggle file extensions and is it possible to add a checkmark when its enabled (showing file extensions)

i have a gtx260 and downloaded the lastest win 7 64 bit driver for it and it lowered my wei score by .1 from 7.2 to 7.1 for both graphics and game graphics thats against the standard win 7 driver that was loaded when it installed anyone have any reasoning behind it??

i couldnt plug all drives in cos then i couldnt boot thats what i had started with and its when it didnt work i deleted some boot files from that other drive and now all works sweet dunno how or why they got on there
