  1. 2) Yes, slipstream SP1 into your installation before doing anything else. As for 1), if you have the product key written somewhere (and if it's legal you should), then you can just use vLite to embed the key again.
  2. It would be nice to have the System names of services listed along with the Display names, similar to here: http://www.blackviper.com/WinVista/servicecfg.htm The reason being that in non-English editions of Vista some of the services have localized Display names, and it is really difficult to figure out which is which unless you know exactly where to look.
  3. I had the same problem. You need to copy QUTIL.DLL from inside install.wim, located inside the sources folder on your Vista disc, to Windows\System32. You can browse WIM files using 7-Zip.
  4. If you want to slipstream Service Pack 1 you will need to download it first, then select it when vLite prompts you to. Making an ISO file means vLite will create the image file for you. It prompts you for a location to save it to.
  5. I had some trouble understanding your post, but I may know what the problem is. In vLite, go to the Tweaks tab. Somewhere there should be a setting that toggles whether you can boot from the disc or not. Please check whether you had it enabled or disabled and try burning a new disc with it set so you can boot from the disc. Hope this helps!
