OK, I had a quick look through the posts to see if anyone mentioned Start Wars Empire At War and couldnt find anything. I would like to say that it runs under win98se with kex. If you dissable kex then it will through an error about shfolderex, so well done Xeno86 It will of cource allways ask if you wish to continue as it was not designd to run on 98, however if you want rid of this message then click 2000 in compatability, this may have unknown effects... Oh, actualy there is one problem with Star Wars Empire At War, An origonal Install will use a pice of software called securom. this is not able to check the dvd for the correct code so a patched exe is required to run the game without check. securom complaines about either a 'virus' or complaines about debugging software running. I am not sure wheather to get it or whether its a waist of time and money - it looks like a good game topping I but if its not going to run then Im not interested...

Ah, so this is a bug. I thought it was just me because I created 3 Win98's on my HDD with multi-boot. In one of my 98's my pic stays the same but in others it changes all the time... Does anyone here know how to multi-boot win98 versions without NT? If not I can post code. I am going to experiment with my code and an ME install. Trev

Tihy, can i ask for the code to display the system resources that are shown in KTM. I am on a forum that is making an LCARS shell for Windows, The shell includes an 'Engineering' section that in xp/vista shows resource usage + cpu, however when I run it I get an exeption saying it needs NT. Hi, Is there any way to run VB.NET2005/2008 express on win98se? I have been wanting to do some programming and have been using VB5 however someone else is using VB2008 and there are now code differences, so I was trying to install VB2008 on 98 but iit failed and ntdll and 2005 bypasses the version check with kex however crashes when it tries to run sitesetup.dll Can anyone help me? As far as Im aware there is no default 'Network' icon, only a Dail-Up/modem icon However If you have 2 network cards it may be annoying to have 2 icons at the bottom, so yeah, can you add the option to hide the icon from systray but have it in..., how about Network Settings. Another feature I think would be good for it wpuld be to either dissapear or give indication when a network is unplugged/unavailable. Sometimes my network is offline or I unplugg the cable yet the icon stays. Then when its replugged can it have the same balloon tip as your VPN (and modem possibly) icon in RP7 - of which would be another thing to add to RP9... I like it... Trev

I remeber reading somewhere, I think it was the revolutions 7 thread, that someone requested smitransparent toolbars etc. If I remember Sombody said it was possible however if the window moved it would screw up. Has this had any thought, can sombody make the vista skin do this slight semitrasparency (I don't usualy move windows) or has it been proven it does not work in which case I ask has it had any thought to make it work? I think I have a problem with NUSB3.3. When I first learned of NUSB (3.2) I installed it and got a nice (Updated icon+ other stuff Im sure) Sys Tray safe remove icon. With 3.3 on a fresh autopatched sys I don't get that anymore, and when on my laptop I upgraded to 3.3 the icon no longer supported usb devices and limated itself to PCMCIA (Using the new icon) Is this a known problem or has something happened. I have downloaded a fresh each time so it can't be that I have a corrupt copie. Trev

RP7 had a lot more windows functionality, why deos RP9 not have them (Things like expanding Control Panel in Start Menu, Improved Add/Remove replaceing normal Add/rtemove etc) Auto Patcher gives me replacement Add/Rewmoive but does not make it default, RP7 did. Can you add these features again because combined with these new ones whoa that would be amazing Oh RP7 had fadeing menues but you selected it in display properties... Trev

Now how about an automated programme to do it? This may be a bit long winded for some, in fact it may be easyer to backup registry settings of newly installed programmes and run the uninstaller then run the .reg files to re-regidter new apps. Trev
