Hi rulman Yes, I wrote it in the change-log and also in the update-list. Currently there are three active time-zone-updates on the list. The reason ist that KB2681116 is 'just' a hotfix, KB2657025 is optional and only KB2633952 is a high-priority update. I wrote hints to all of these updates. And also the file-checker knows that: KB2681116 replaces KB2657025 and KB2633952 KB2657025 replaces KB2633952

As far as I found out: 2264107 was never offered via MU/WU
-
2264107 contains: - Mrxdav.sys --> 5.1.2600.6007 - Ntdll.dll --> 5.1.2600.6007 Ntdll.dll in 2264107 is obsolete because it was replaced by Ntdll.dll 5.1.2600.6055 what is part of 2393802 (MS11-011). But I didn't found something what Mrxdav.sys makes obsolete. So I think 2264107 should still be used.

I compared a vanilla installation of Windows XP SP3 (original CD from MS) with manually installation of KB2412687 against a Windows XP compiled by HFSLIP with updates until Dec. 2011:The following gdiplus.dlls I have found: (1) plain Windows XP SP3 + manually installed KB2412687: c:\WINDOWS\WinSxS\x86_Microsoft.Windows.GdiPlus_6595b64144ccf1df_1.0.0.0_x-ww_8d353f13\GdiPlus.dll c:\WINDOWS\WinSxS\x86_Microsoft.Windows.GdiPlus_6595b64144ccf1df_1.0.2600.5512_x-ww_dfb54e0c\GdiPlus.dll c:\WINDOWS\WinSxS\x86_Microsoft.Windows.GdiPlus_6595b64144ccf1df_1.0.6002.22509_x-ww_c7dad023\GdiPlus.dll (2) Windows XP / HFSLIP with updates until Dec. 2011: C:\WINDOWS\WinSxS\x86_Microsoft.Windows.GdiPlus_6595b64144ccf1df_1.0.0.0_x-ww_8d353f13\GdiPlus.dll C:\WINDOWS\WinSxS\x86_Microsoft.Windows.GdiPlus_6595b64144ccf1df_1.0.6002.22509_x-ww_c7dad023\GdiPlus.dll KB2412687 includes Gdiplus.dll version 5.2.6002.22509. So it seems that HFSLIP can handle it. But I was surprised that in (a) was one more gdiplus.dll. (1) is my base for creating current Windows-XP-CDs by HFSLIP - that means (2) based on Windows XP of (1).

Your example is taken from table 2 (security updates). But if you're using IE8 (together with IE8-WindowsXP-KB2647516-x86-XXX.exe), then WindowsXP-KB2647516-x86-XXX.exe is not a security-update but more a fix for the favorites-bug.But if you go to Table 4 (non-sec updates for IE), you will find WindowsXP-KB2647516-x86-XXX.exe for IE8. Probably it's not the most intuitive solution...
-
Probably you could do it as I do it for additional updates which are not on the list:I modified my file-checker INI in the following way: Open it and go to the WIN-section, and add additional update(s): ... ------------------------------------------------- ! Additional updates for Windows XP SP3 ------------------------------------------------- +WIN S|HF\Q282784_WXP_SP1_x86_ENU.exe|Qfecheck.exe - ...
-
both? do you mean HF\WindowsXP-KB2647516-x86-KOR.exe and HF\IE8-WindowsXP-KB2647516-x86-KOR.exe? Yes, you should!

Oh... that's a long time ago... I didn't remember. But if I remember right, there was some discussion about this here... HFSLIP ist filtering some updates by their name. Probably this is the reason, that this update was slipstreamed in the correct order. Thx!!! even though I use IE8 and have "IE8-WindowsXP-KB2647516-x86-KOR.exe" in HF. To use the IE6-update is a fix for the Explorer, not the Internet Explorer. here you can see the Explorer bug:http://www.msfn.org/...post__p__913457 I will look for it.Thx for your comments!!!
